Drybar - Nordstrom NYC

Eleonora, the hairdresser who did my hair, was friendly but not knowledgeable. The overall experience was way below my expectations and definitely poor. Starting with the washing, I only received a quick shampoo that lasted less than three minutes and was very rough. There was another lady getting her hair washed at the same time, and just to give you an idea, she started before me and finished long after I did. I even questioned the hairdresser about whether my hair was properly cleaned, and she simply replied, 'It is, it is, don't worry!' She offered to do another shampoo, but she had already conditioned my hair, and I decided to trust her. The styling, unfortunately, was no better. She didn't use any products on my hair before starting to blow-dry it. Instead, she used a brush that still had the previous client's hair on it!!!!!!! Once I pointed it out, she seemed surprised, saying, 'Oh, of course, sorry!' She removed the hair and just left it on the table in front of me. That was truly disgusting! On multiple occasions, she accidentally burned my ears and scalp. She apologized, but then didn't change anything. I specifically requested a curly and voluminous hairstyle, but despite her efforts when I told her my hair was too flat, I left with only the tips curled. I was so frustrated that at one point, Eleonora told me, "You seem nervous, don't be!" Well, I suppose it's easier said than done. Within a few hours, my hair was mostly straight. Lastly, I went to Drybar for my wedding anniversary, hoping for that extra pampering. Unfortunately, nobody seemed to know about the occasion or that it was my first time at Drybar. It was disappointing that they didn't acknowledge the notes written when booking. Overall, it was a far from relaxing experience, and I will definitely never go back or recommend Drybar to anyone else.

I've now been to 3 dry bars in NYC and as all I feel are pretty unfriendly, Nordstroms stylists are the absolute worst. They don't even know the products they sell. How does a guy give someone a blowout that asks for stick straight hair and he never even uses a flat iron and when asked was told he's the professional. In the end, I was the most pissed at myself for giving a tip...this experience finally proved to me/gave me the confidence to blow out my own hair for any occasion😉

My blowout was fine but customer service is awful! I applied a $10 coupon as a new customer and it was never reflected on my final bill! I called to store and they did nothing about it! I am not coming back!

The manager here is magic!!!! She created a stunning hairstyle for me!

This location in Nordstroms is so easy to get to plus everyone was so friendly. Rita was amazing! She did my blowout she was so personable and professional. I loved my hair!! I would highly recommend Rita and Drybar! Thank y’all
