Drybar - Greenwich Village

The service was immaculate! I loved that when I walked in I saw so many stylists of color. I have black hair, and I take it very seriously when someone new does it. I cannot stress enough how equipped this team of stylists is for all hair types. Everyone I saw inside walked out smiling. My sister and I had a great time! Staff is hilarious as well! Good energy all around.

I wish I could give 0 stars it was SO bad. I’m convinced they just hire anyone off the street with no experience. I asked for a simple silky smooth blowout. After tugging painfully (I told her 3 times to relax) and burning my scalp, the blow out was COMICAL. I actually forgot all manners and had a visceral reaction to gasp and put my hand over my mouth. Pieces of hair were curled, some were straight, one bang was flipped out the other was stick straight, frizzy, unruly, craziness. I’m currently redoing my hair at home.

Honestly the worst blow out or hair service I’ve ever had in my life - Like laughably bad. You would be better served to just give it a try at home. The person was late starting my appointment and I let her know I was crunch for time and she said she could be fast to catch and proceeds to gossip and chit chat and stop every 30 seconds. Adding insult to injury the woman was actually terrible at doing hair.

I’ve been coming to this location for over 5 years and today received such horrible customer service. I won’t be returning to this location ever again. It’s a bummer because Drybar and this location in particular used to hire very talented and kind stylists. Now, this location is dirty, everyone is unfriendly and unprofessional, the stylists rip your hair out from brushing so aggressively, the list goes on. I would recommend against this location and will be going to local salons moving forward.

I also wish I could give zero stars. I asked for a bouncy blow dry with flips on the end. Started out with her washing my hair and she didn’t even wash underneath or lift my head. She then was talking on the phone and gossiping with employees during my blow dry and I left with frizzy hair that was half curl and half straight. Need to redo my hair and for $70 this IS NOT worth it
