Drybar - Arlington

The blowout was great, thank you Charmaine! But…the salon is looking run down, the rails to put your feet on are mostly broken, not much product available for purchase. And no beverages…no wine, no water, nothing. I appreciate that the blowout is the main product, but I also loved the wine/champagne and the beautiful, clean salons that were a part of the DryBar brand before the franchise model. I’m probably going to discontinue my Barfly membership.

They were nice enough to take me as a walk in but other than that the customer service was lacking. My stylist and I had a consultation where I specifically told her I like loose voluminous curls and she then proceeded to give me really tight curls. I left looking like Shirley temple. She asked at the end if she could fix my hair but she just wanted to brush them out and it wouldn't have helped so I said no it's fine and she turned around and said "whatever". Not good customer service here.

What a terrific experience! Amanda was extraordinary insightful in understanding my goals and concerns. She had excellent suggestions and her calm, confident manner was most assuring. Love the clean, classy salon look. I'll be back!

I watched them turn away a very pregnant lady the day of her baby shower. She called them twice and tried to tell them she was running 2 minutes late. No one answered the phone and I was the only other person in the salon. Two staff members were present. No mercy for a pregnant woman who was clearly getting around slower than the rest of us? Brutal. She was crying and the staff could’ve cared less and turned her away. I was so uncomfortable sitting in my chair knowing I was about to give money to this awful business.

Although my stylist was very sweet...she washed my hair roughly using her nails vs finger tips. She did soften up after I requested her to. She dripped water down my back 2x. I requested the old fashioned but when I sensed hesitation I told her she could do the mai Tai. I told her I didn't want ringlets. While doing my hair she kept pushing the products (do you guys get commission?). When finished she did loose ringlets and said if I combed them out they would be waves for the Mai Tai. I was done at 2:05pm. By 5pm the curls dropped so much they were non existent. That's never happened. Whenever I get my hair done at a drybar it lasts 2 to 3 days. I'd give 1 star but she was nice and sweet.
