Dillard's

This is an awesome vintage department store. I came in here to film the elevator. They have an awesome 1974 Montgomery elevator that is glass. Only reason this is 3 star instead of 5 is because an employee gave me very dirty looks for simply appreciating their vintage elevator. She also followed us around the store as if we were shop lifters or something after we rode the elevator. Apart from. That. The store is clean and very well stocked as well. Also clean toilets as well.

The Dillard’s in Independence Center is very nice. We were doing some very last minute Christmas shopping and the staff in both the men’s and women’s sleep ware were helpful, and personable. Even though it was right before Christmas, they still had nice items on display and the different sections were well stocked. You aren’t allowed to carry items from one section to the next while you shop without putting them on hold, back on the rack or purchasing, so keep that in mind if that would make a difference to you

I was literally terrified. I was in the section where they have all of the pretty dresses. This lady with tattoos worked in that section of the store and at first I thought she was a cool lady but then she started acting off. She kept making loud noises with the metal signs on top of the wracks. Every wrack I looked at she came to the wrack and started making loud noises with the metal signs on top of the wracks. I don't know if she was on drugs or just liked the noise of clanging metal but it made it difficult to shop under those conditions. She continued to follow me around and move the signs on the wracks for no reason. I felt so uncomfortable. I felt so much anxiety and fear that I felt forced to spend $200 for these two dresses. She kept making noises and getting very close that I honestly just wanted to hurry up and buy the dresses and leave. Even after I bought the dresses she still followed me around as if bullying me to buy more items or possibly stalking I am not sure why she did this. I could not even truly look for a dress to buy for this Gala I am going to. She also kept looking at me in the dressing room and I felt uncomfortable. It was like she was stalking me. Even after we purchased the items she still stayed near us. It was just so creepy. It was the creepiest thing I have ever experienced. I felt bullied and pressured into buying these items because of the way this woman was acting. I was scared of this woman. I did not know why she wanted to follow me around.

Went for a gala dress. They have a large assortment of gowns and dresses. The plus size section was sparse, especially the junior plus section. Everyone working there was very nice and we had no issues getting a dressing room open whenever we needed one. Prices were average for formal dresses

Dillard’s has done a lot to make the store look excellent!! Loved the displays especially in the beauty department Kiehl’s branding. Lots of excellent sales! Even though the mall is dead as a door nail, Dillard’s still has it going on.
