The whole rental process is crazy, you find something you want, then pay a fee for app. Then wait for approval, then one want is on hold by someone else. Then you find another online and by another agency and start over. This agency only had one rental left on their list. Too large. Was willing to pay extra deposit. And year up front cause closing on my house. But they had no rentals to choose from. Now starting again with another agency. Crazy.

I was a first time home buyer and decided to go with Karen Thomas as my realtor. I really can't recommend her enough. She was incredibly helpful in finding detailed information about homes from the sellers and/or their agents. I visited four separate homes before finding the one I liked. She was patient throughout the entire process and not pushy at all, despite there being a shortage of homes in my price range and having to take a few months to find the right home. Importantly, she was very helpful giving me context of what was expected in the area as far as home buyer/seller culture is here, as well as what were reasonable offers to make to sellers. I was expecting the process of buying a home to be far more difficult and time consuming than it actually was. I would recommend getting preapproved for a mortgage first though to speed everything up and to let realtors know you're serious about purchasing a home. I went through Southern Mortgage right down the street and had a great experience there too.
