In the beginning Connie Christy was "hands on deck" and very helpful and motivated. She has certain positive qualities but unfortunately, the negatives compromised my trust and I withdrew contract early. I was mislead and informed of many things simply not true that affected the success of selling my home. First, the suggested listing price was way out of reach so we were 'behind the eight ball' from the beginning. Market variable/unpredictable but listing price comes with experience. Second, was informed "contingency no longer existed"(selling my home/contingent on finding home) and was informed by another realtor that this was simply not true. Third informed, "they could be fined by placing showing restrictions on my house" simply not true. I agreed to ALL showing requests at the 'buyers convenience' for five months (opened home all sorts of times) not a word of appreciation for flexibility then after my work schedule changed (1 month left on contract) , I had to place a restriction (showings after 5:30). I was treated completely different received a response, "this is becoming too difficult for me." Fourth when finally received an offer, it was Connie and the buyer vs me. She took buyer's side attempting to convince me their offer ($50,000 under asking) was reasonable and justifying offer by accepting a ridiculous list from buyer's wishes to make changes to home. No attempt to 'got to bat' working for me (reminding buyer they are paying also for location Lake Michigan in their front yard among other qualities of home). Last, Realtors frequently left my home UNLOCKED and unsecured when notified, Connie's response was, "not much we can do about this." Showed complete disregard to security of my property and my safety when returning home. I learned a lot from this experience and will be very selective choosing next agent as well as how my property will be listed.
I highly recommend using century 21 alliance to anyone looking to buy or sell a house! Julie has helped me in so many ways.... my husband and I have weird schedules and she was extremely flexible in helping us get our perfect house! They also help you find a mortgage broker, inspectors and any other thing you need. Julie and Jeanne have continued to follow up with me to make sure I am happy! I cannot recommend them enough!!
