If you’re a first time homebuyer. ****STOP *** I purchased my first home with Heather Laughlin under Century 21 Action. She offered to have her husband Michael Anderson of La Restorations do 28k in repairs that was wrapped into my loan. I didn’t realize that the was in the transaction was in the sellers name (her friend) so I wasn’t able to file a claim. She received payment in full at closing. That was months ago. She has since stopped answering my calls and her husband as well. Beware.. there are people that will take advantage of any and everyone. CENTURY 21 wouldn’t even respond to me.

Jon Bourgoyne is the hardest working man in real estate. I immediately liked his can do attitude, his local knowledge, his contacts in the community of plumbers, electricians, painters, landscapers, all the essential personnel, so I signed with him to sell my house in Morgan City. Most agents energy seems to disappear when the ink is dry but Jon was the opposite. His commitment and enthusiasm only increased through the 7 month process. Additionally, this was a difficult situation as I went overseas the day after I listed with him. So he took complete responsibility for every aspect of the sale, from standing in line at city hall to get the electric paid (multiple times), getting the taxes sorted, supervising an extensive renovation with carpenters, painters, etc, and even doing a lot of the necessary work himself- fixing soffit, touching up paint, making endless runs to the hardware store, even mowing the lawn when the landscaper caught covid. He did it all, and unbelievably, always with a positive attitude! Thanks to his work I had multiple offers. A few of the offers fell through as the buyers agents had not done their due diligence with respect to financing. Jon again worked tirelessly to find the right buyers with a solid offer. I recommend you look no further the Jon, for buying or selling your home. There is not a harder working, more knowledgeable, more compassionate, more connected person in the business. Jon went so far over my expectations that I gave him a bonus at closing. I’m a tough person to impress, and in my opinion Jon deserves way more than five stars.

Our Experience, Extremely Disappointing! We priced a house 10k to 20k below all other in neighborhood to sell quickly. After cutting the price again to help their client afford the house, we received an accepted contract dated May 13th, from a Century 21 Agent. The agent was supposed to get a Deposit with contract, but never did and never bothered to tell us they did not. Well 9 days later, the agent still had no deposit check, but sent us a text saying sorry Buyer no longer interested. On day 11, the agent told us she they never received a deposit from her client. The agent knew this for over a week and never bothered to tell us anything. Is that dis-honest? In that time Century 21 lead us to believe we had a valid contract with the deposit check. We turned away 2 other well qualified buyers who put offers in on other houses just down the street with same square footage that were listed well above our price. We also turned away another couple who wanted to rent the house.
