Bridgton Academy

How does one sufficiently review the best prep school in America? wellll, you start in January of 1969. At that time there was only a one lane road up to BA from Bridgton, and as my Dad and I traversed north on 117, there was a TEN foot continuously plowed pile of snow on either side of us. Our 4speed Volvo, shard with new aggressive snow tires handles the snow well. Ah, we arrived within a village of sylvan beauty, white fairy tale magnificence! I turned to my Dad and said, this is the school for me. I knew in my heart of hearts this was a very special spiritual place for me. Then after the interview with Headmaster Richard L. Goldsmith I again turned to my Dad and said I have got to be here come fall.I prayed that night that Mr. Goldsmith would answer my fervent quest. ohhh, yes he made me the happiest boy in new England! AND that year did indeed make, ALL THE DIFFERENCE FOR ME.

Bridgton is a wonderful place and gorgeous if you haven't been yet then your missing out
