This is the worst, most inconsiderate and disrespectful service I have ever experienced. Had 8am appointment, confirmed by text. I arrive on time to find a bride who had a 7:30 appointment waiting in the lobby. No one is there! No one answers the phone or a text. At 8:15 a stylist arrives to tell the bride that the make up artist has not shown, nor has her hair stylist. She tells me that my 8am appointment will not be honored and she will take me at 8:30. (Not sure how she could do that given the bride was waiting, too.). I had been very specific about needing to be at a photo shoot on Siesta at 9:30. I walked out and told her to take care of the bride. There is no signage indicating this is the location of BlowLaLa, they do not answer the phone and they obviously do not care about clients and the time schedules they have committed too. I do not recommend this business!
i looooooove this salon so much! all the girls are so sweet, and the vibes are fun and comfortable. Leila did my hair and i’m completely in love. she made me feel so beautiful. please go to Blow La La if you’re looking for any hair services. they will blow your mind!!
Worst Salon I’ve ever been to, blow dry wise! Stick to what you know! Extensions and color, please save yourself the trouble. Management to stylist awful service. I would have given a zero star, but that wasn’t an option.
WARNING !!!!! ⚠️
I had booked an appointment with high hopes at Blowlala, expecting a luxurious blow dry bar experience as their enticing pictures had promised. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I received a notification that the salon relocated to a space in UTC Sarasota.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a reality far removed from the relaxing salon environment they had showcased. Instead, I found myself in a cramped "salon suite," resembling little more than a closet among several others. While I hold no grievances against the stylist who attended to me, I cannot ignore the stark contrast between what was advertised and what I experienced.
My hair-washing ordeal was particularly discomforting, as the water would sporadically reach scalding temperatures, leaving my scalp blistered and burnt. It's disheartening to see Blowlala transform from a reputable salon into an unrecognizable space, justifying their relocation as a move to a "more intimate" setting. In reality, it's a thinly veiled admission that the original Blowlala salon has shuttered its doors, only to charge exorbitant prices for a hair service in an outrageously small closet.
My overall experience with Blowlala left me not only disappointed but also concerned about the safety and quality of service they now provide. This transformation has indeed rendered Blowlala unfit to be called a salon, and I urge potential customers to approach with caution.
