Blo Blow Dry Bar

I had a 9 an appointment. It’s now 9:16 and the doors are still locked. I’ve tried calling multiple times and just get a non-personalized voicemail, so I have no idea if that’s the right number. I tried calling yesterday to confirm and got the same voicemail so I guess it’s my fault for assuming that they would actually be open, despite the cheery sign that says they open promptly at 9 am. I have a 10 am meeting, so I guess I won’t get my hair done.

We showed up at 9:45... Blo "opens" @9AM and we had an appointment for 10AM, since my friend was pregnant we decided to arrive earlier just in case and they were *NOT* open, all the lights were OFF and the door was LOCKED. Thankfully one of the security guards let my pregnant friend use the restroom inside. When the girls did show up @ 10AM they were annoyed, running late and made us wait past our appointment times to get us in chairs. Moral of the story if you say you're open at 9:00 a.m. then be open at 9:00 a.m. *not 10:00 a.m.*. or at least update your hours online and everywhere else.

I showed up to my appointment at 8:55 for a 9am appointment. The doors were locked and the lights were off. I called the salon at 9am and no one answered. I was about to leave because I had an event at 10am and felt I was going to be late. I scheduled this appointment weeks in advance so I could have my hair done for it. Someone walked up and unlocked the doors at 9:15. She didn’t say anything or apologize. I did not realize it was even the stylist because she did not say a word to me. The appointment was rushed and lasted approximately 20min. I paid and was out the door by 9:41. Overall it was a bad experience and I am shocked that the customer service was so poorly handled and the stylist rude. I could not tell you what her name was because she never introduced herself.

I live in Utah and was in town for a concert. At the Blo in SLC I am in love with everyone there and the service. I’ve been a member for over four years now. I was expecting this Blo to be no different and have a great time. I was absolutely wrong. I don’t know if the stylist I got was having a bad day or what… she never even introduced herself at all. She didn’t say a single word to me during the entire appointment and she BURNED me with the hair dryer a few times when using it. I really am a chill person and always try and give someone the benefit of the doubt and just carry on. I don’t want to say she was rude because that’s not true, but she wasn’t “friendly” in the slightest. I just felt like another job to her she wanted to get rid of as quickly as possible. Never even cracked a smile or responded to my question/small talk about how her day was. It was very awkward. At the end when I was checking out and I asked if I had any credits to use from my membership she rolled her eyes, but did use one. I asked for her Venmo so I could tip her and she still never even uttered a simple, “Thank you.” My hair was pretty, but it didn’t even last the night… and when I go to my Blo by me my styles always last 5-7 days… I don’t know. The whole experience was not fun and I will never go back to this location. I hope everything turns out okay for the stylist and maybe in the future she can work on her people skills? I know we all have bad days. But that was just uncomfortable all around.

Had a great experience here earlier today! I had originally scheduled my appointment for the wrong time and they were great about helping me reschedule. Shieva was awesome, she was super receptive to my ideas and styled my hair perfectly!
