The stylist was very nice but the experience was not what I thought it would be. I wanted a relaxing blow out but the stylist was running behind so it was very rushed. I have long, thick, curly hair and it seemed overwhelming for her to manage. She ended up using a comb attachment on her dryer and it was very rough. My hair looked nice at the end but only held for about 30mins. It was very frizzy, which never happens if I blow it out. The price is decent and the people are nice, but I’d rather just do my own.
TLDR; go to Drybar in The Rotunda instead. They're super professional and did a great job!!
I scheduled a blow dry appointment here before a photoshoot as the location is half way between my house and where the photoshoot was taking place. Ten minutes before my appointment, a stylist called me to tell me she was sick and wouldn't be able to come in. Okay, short notice, but I get it, people get sick. I asked if anyone else could do my hair instead, and she said no. This left me in a really bad position because I had been counting on this appointment to get my hair done. She then offered to come in anyway, but told me she lived an hour away, so it would take her an hour to get there. This is what makes me the angriest because if she lives an hour away and woke up sick, why didn't she call me to cancel an hour ago instead of 10 minutes before my appointment. Completely unprofessional. Luckily I was able to get an appointment last minute at the Drybar in The Rotunda, and they did an amazing job! Save yourself the trouble and just make an appointment there from the start instead. Don't waste your time with Blo like I did.
I’ve been here a few times with a couple of different stylists and have been very happy each time. Stylists listened to what I wanted and were skilled and meticulous. They also have a great selection of hair products and I’ve gotten a few things there from the “WOW” line and highly recommend it. Front desk staff is great too and always helpful.
They wasn’t able to do the braids I wanted (4 braids with hair added) on my only day off this week. How was you hired if you couldn’t do all hair styles? I understand if you couldn’t do a weave because not everyone can do weaves. But braids really. Will give them another chance because Atleast they let me know 2 hours before my appointment.
Great group of people! All the stylists are very personable and skilled! I won’t go anywhere else for my blowouts. You can also shop their products that they use or get your makeup done! If I could give 10 stars I would!
