Pretty busy. You can likely find a desk on the 5th floor but in that section you can only bring your items without their cases and no food or liquids, you can leave your belongings in a locker for free. Good luck finding a plug. If you aren't a local bring a passport and prepare to go through half a dozen security check points, it's probably less of a hassle to enter Fort Knox.

For visitors floors 1,3, 5 are accessible. Floor 1 has some information on library but Floors 3 and 5 literally have nothing to see. 5th floor is also separated into where visitors can only be in a small part. Theres really nothing interesting about it other than the architecture which could us a washing , I don’t recommend.

It is really not a tourist attraction. You can visit as long as you present a document at the reception desk. When I visited July 2024, only available for visitors was the 1st, 3rd and lobby of the 5th floor. There is a cafeteria on the first floor with an outside patio where you can buy drinks and small snacks to enjoy. The security guy mentioned that unfortunately, there is work being done and most of the floor is just empty cases as they are working on the new exhibit. The 3rd floor is mostly offices and a corridor with prints from one of the argentinian authors of the collection "Alpargatas". Finally, the lobby portion of the 5 floor is the reading hall with a window covered side which offers some views. The other half of the floor is behind a security desk which is there probably to avoid visitors/tourist from wondering into they section of the floor. I think it is worth visiting the inside if you are into architecture, the 1st, 2nd and 3 floor stairways were really low head clearance and all of the sudden 4th. And fifth floors grow higher with no apparent reason. That and the unusual stairways features, I am just not sure what they were the reason for the way they were designed.

Brutalist architecture is a crime against humanity.

Don’t come here as a tourist, just look at the outside. You need a passport to get in, there’s not a single book, and the security are a pain in the butt. Spend your time elsewhere
