In this branch we opened a debit account for a foreigner, but the male executive told us that it was mandatory to hire 'Meta Ahorro', which will be responsible for 2,000 pesos per month for 12 months and will be returned to him at the end. We insisted that it was never asked to hire him, but it said that this would apply from 2023. But I checked with other branches and nowhere does it say that they do it.
I am sure that this executive had the intention of making us contract a 'non-mandatory' product compulsorily. We wasted like 2 hours waiting for such a disappointing situation. I recommend that you go to other branches avoiding this branch.
Very bad service.
They provide you a service without prior notice. And, of course, you must pay every month.
When I saw it in my account, I called at least 10 times to get my money refunded. (And of course not completely, because they take their commission).
Now, the process is still ongoing.
Each time, you have to change folios and call them to be informed about the progress and verify if the documents are correct.
They do not provide any follow up via email or call. You must call them every time for the process to move forward...
Of course, more and more documents are missing that HAVE NEVER REQUESTED/SPECIFIED.
They just want reasons not to refund anything and make you tired.
Moral of the story, don't trust banks and be very careful with what you sign.
It is simply an organized scam.
For people who wish to open an account, be careful not to be charged the "Meta Seguro", especially if you are a foreigner.
