Assistance Home Care

I have requested sitter service from Assistance Home Care for care for my husband and to help me with household chores. I cannot tell you how wonderful their sitters "Sandy" and "Missy" are. They are knowledgeable on dementia and caring for the elderly. Bless these girls as they have been a great help!!!! Manager Christina is wonderful and even has a certification in Dementia Care. Great people!

Assistance Home Care (AHC) provided in-home care for my 90+ year-old parents for about 6 months during 2021. The Care Pros brought much needed help and good cheer to my parents’ home. In addition to assisting with my father’s care, the Care Pros exercised with my dad and played Scrabble with my mom. My mother appreciated that the Care Pros did house cleaning chores to her high expectations. I appreciated that AHC hires competent and trustworthy Care Pros, taking that responsibility off my shoulders. I also appreciated the Care Manager’s help with filing a long term care insurance claim and her attentiveness to my father’s health concerns. Thank you for enabling my father to remain at home for those 6 months.

So far, I'm not 100% impressed with the services... I'm about 84% impressed. Our caregiver for my mother has medical issues, I get that. But when I have to call the office to see where she is and I have no communication, I get a little upset. The office found someone to help that day, but I already had called my husband to come home and stay with my mother. The caregiver we have had was a little "rough" with my mom one day when I was home, however, I addressed it with the director and she said she would talk to the caregiver. Since that day I "complained" I haven't seen this caregiver due to her "health issues". There was also an issue with billing that the director took care of. We were triple charged for services...OVER $3000.00. That's a tough bill to pay. And the company makes you set up AUTOPAY...when I saw those transactions it was almost a heart attack for me. They are getting us a reimbursement for the error, but it only took 3 seconds for them to take it out of her account, it's taking a long time to get paid back. Over all, I'm impressed, but the lack of communication from the caregiver to the office and they office to me could use a little work.

Assistance Home Care is such an amazing company to work for, they will go above and beyond to make sure your needs as an employee are met. Schedules are super flexible and they are always willing to work with you, they really take the time to match you with a client that you are comfortable with. Assistance is huge on continuing education and offer many training courses to help you along your career path.
