Ace Hardware Southern Home and Garden

In the very beginning, I was hesitant about shopping at this location due to the name Southern Ace Hardware. The atmosphere, the location, had me a little cautious about shopping at this store due to the name SOUTHERN ACE HARDWARE but I decided to give it a shot. The store was very clean an very well stocked with the products I was looking for when I walked in. NO ONE offered to help me initially. I continued to browse for about 15 minutes before being asked if I needed help. I noticed that once I began to ask questions, I was approached by several of the stores team members, which gave me an uncomfortable feeling. After making my decision, everything seemed to be ok until I decided to make a second purchase. The young teenage girl at the register was looking at me very strangely as if she really did not want to help me because I was a BLACK MAN then when I paid for my item, she placed my receipt on the counter and not in my hand and that was very rude of her she did this because of my skin color! After my purchase, I had to call I had to call Ace Hardware customer service for some additional help, but I was satisfied in the end. Thank you.

I hold that Ace Hardware, and this Ace Hardware in particular, is always a pleasurable experience. I don't often go to Ace for tools because I find the company expensive in this regard. However, this Ace in Carrollton is one of my favorite stores. From the superbly helpful employees to the cats who make the shop home, I always feel like I'm sitting near a fire in winter with a good book. Today I purchased a few plants for my just completed flower bed. The quality of the plants here is excellent.

I haven't been in here in awhile and went in a few days ago to find that the store had been remodeled 😕, and I must say I was NOT impressed at all with the new look of it 😕😞😫😩. I think it was much more inviting and interesting to shop in with the older layout. Things were easier to find and it was much more like an county store and had a more home town feel to it.

Love this place....but they don't have duck feed on hand. You have to order it. Other than that, it's a really nice place. Very neat and organized. And the people who work there are nice to. I'll be going back,they got a lot of stuff there. Reasonable price is too

Scout selections. They have great goat soap. They're always helpful and friendly with neat stuff to purchase.
