I went in to return an item and Jim (who I think is the owner) was rude to me about it, making accusations about my intent and speaking to me disrespectfully. Ultimately he did give me a refund, but in a highly unprofessional manner. If he did not want to give me a refund, he could have just said so instead of doing it begrudgingly and treating me poorly.

They do not cut keys brought to them unless purchased directly from Ace Hardware. Brought a family member’s 2014 Chevy Cruze key fob to match (for a spare key). They would only allow me to purchase a key fob from them for $109.99, citing “legal reasons”. Referred me to a third party key cutting service. A bit silly but policy is policy. Website should be updated to state as such if such is the case.

Nice medium size hardware store. They tend to have good service and most what the typical household needs.

I shop here occasionally and consistently see helpful and knowledgeable employees.

Attempting to find lightbulbs for a new lighting fixture, there was a person high on meth walking strait towards me while a customer service person was looking up stock. The owner asked that person to leave and apologized. They had the bulbs but their computer system was not working. I could have ordered the part on Amazon for two dollar less per bulb and not had to deal with people at all, but it’s good to support neighbors.
