The River Yoga Sunnyside

This studio made me fall in love with yoga and the community around it.

The teachers/instructors helped me learn from ground zero, and in the best way possible. I have never felt more safe in a workout/movement environment.

No matter your skill level or background, the studio genuinely has the perfect class and teacher for you.

I highly recommend trying a class from Lisa, Lindsey, Marisa K and Krystal. :)

I love this space. I joined the River at the recommendation of a friend just over a year ago. The community has multiple locations in Denver, but Sunnyside is the location I go to most often. Everyone is so welcoming and the space reflects that.

It hosts two large studios, one with garage doors for open air classes during nice weather. The space is clean, feels safe, the heated class are wonderful during cold months and teachers are fabulous.

One of my favorite things about the River classes are that every class can be adapted to what you need. There is no judgment on your movement or what you personally need from the space any given day. Check it out!

Longtime ClassPass user, but ended up just recently getting a membership to River Yoga because I love it here so much. The instructors are amazing and there is always a class that works with my schedule. The studio is very clean and welcoming. Sunnyside has a great atmosphere that always keeps me coming back. Shout out to Carolyn B., Jess Y., and Krystal M., who I practice with the most. Love your classes!

Most of the classes offered are heated (that's fine), with loud music and the instructor YELLING over all the noise to guide the class. Not my ideal class, personally. One of the instructors was incredible and I really liked his classes. Their cancellation policy is absurd, especially for an organization that regularly cancels classes. I probably won't go back.

I love The River :') all three of the locations are beautiful. Every single teacher, every class, and every flow is so, so good. I always look forward to coming in to the studio, because I know I'll leave feeling even better.
After a hot yoga class at the Sunnyside location, I accidentally grabbed the wrong pair of boots on my way out, and the person whose boots I stole took mine home with them. The River staff went above and beyond to reconnect me with my boots, and I'm so grateful.
No matter how long you've been doing yoga, what your comfort level or experience is, there is a home for your practice here. I'd highly recommend The River.

Burn Boot Camp

Burn Boot Camp has changed the game for me in the way that I exercise! It takes me back to high school sports and the way we conditioned back then which I loved! I am at a place in my fitness journey where I don’t want to make up my own work outs, I just want to show up and have someone else tell me what to do. Being with friends makes it that much more fun and keeps me accountable!

I joined Burn in September 2023 after attending two of their popup camps in the Springfield, MO, area during the summer. In two camps I could tell that the trainers and staff were fully focused on seeing their members become their best. As someone who has struggled with finding a commitment to fitness over the course of my adult life, knowing that Burn would push me to be my best while I was surrounded by a group of people cheering me on made ALL the difference.

I've come to nearly every camp offered at Burn since they opened their doors, and the energy, support, and enthusiasm has only grown since day one. I've made many friends during camp who celebrate achievements with me, encourage me to do something I don't think I can do, and support me as I discover a side of my own fitness I didn't realize I had. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate and respect the owners and their staff — they are caring, compassionate, and fun to be around!

I joined Burn as someone who had never participated in a group exercise setting before, but I am hooked on this format and I can't imagine spending my mornings anywhere else. Thank you, Cami and Karlee, for bringing Burn to our community!!

This is a gym like no other! You feel welcome from the second you walk through the door. The workouts are challenging but with the trainers you feel like you’re getting one on one training! Add in an amazing facility and child watch included - can’t recommend highly enough!

StretchLab

I cannot say enough about this place and the people here that would justify the great experience I have at stretch lab loHi.
I've stretched with 4 different employees here, and although they each have their own techniques, all of the stretches have been good if not great!
My interactions with Marci and all of the employees here have been positive adding to the greatness of this place.
The stretches have significantly improved my overall pain. If you can afford to consistently stretch here, it is well worth the investment!

Marci is so friendly, and Katie P. is an angel. She immediately knew what my body needed. She is also very bubbly, energetic, and strong. It was 50 minutes of pure muscle/stress release. StretchLab got me for the next 3 months and I'm super excited about that!!

Love Marci and her crew! Such a great atmosphere and good energy. Every stretchologist has their own unique style and flow that is super productive. They listen to your needs and tailor a stretch to help you. I have seen such progress in my flexibility, tone and mood coming here. Also, feel such a difference in my workouts coming here 1x week.

All of the instructors are wonderful! I really enjoy Emily for  certain areas that I feel an injury coming on. And I love Andres as he really knows how to push you to improve your flexibility when you think you’re at your max!

Marci the owner, is the sweetest. Makes an effort to get to know anyone and runs a very organized facility. Also she loves dogs 🥰and welcomes Harden (my pup) which is nice to bring him along too! 🙂

Katie - at the Denver facility in LoHi, was my Professional Stretch Assistant.  And  Fabulous is how I would describe my experience!  Having heard wonderful things about STRETCH LAB from my son who uses them frequently, I decided to give it a try. Especially, after receiving a gift card from my husband with my son’s recommendation. I’m a very active over 65 female - I play Tennis competitively, run and workout several times a week and enjoy and like to keep myself physically fit.  The Stretch Lab Professional Assistant experience is great in helping maintain a healthy balance between my physical workouts that I do on my own and doing the proper and necessary muscle, ligament and tendon workouts an Assistant provides, to keep doing what I enjoy!  Living life!  Good for all ages and activity levels!  Bonus - it just feels so good!

StrechLab has been a great addition to my routine. Staying limber is key to balancing athletic/inactive times and avoiding injuries/aches between. Having a trained professional lead the stretching is so much more effective than attempting to stretch on your own. Definitely would recommend StretchLab to anyone that is considering it.

Blo Blow Dry Bar

I had a 9 an appointment. It’s now 9:16 and the doors are still locked. I’ve tried calling multiple times and just get a non-personalized voicemail, so I have no idea if that’s the right number. I tried calling yesterday to confirm and got the same voicemail so I guess it’s my fault for assuming that they would actually be open, despite the cheery sign that says they open promptly at 9 am. I have a 10 am meeting, so I guess I won’t get my hair done.

We showed up at 9:45... Blo "opens" @9AM and we had an appointment for 10AM, since my friend was pregnant we decided to arrive earlier just in case and they were *NOT* open, all the lights were OFF and the door was LOCKED. Thankfully one of the security guards let my pregnant friend use the restroom inside. When the girls did show up @ 10AM they were annoyed, running late and made us wait past our appointment times to get us in chairs. Moral of the story if you say you're open at 9:00 a.m. then be open at 9:00 a.m. *not 10:00 a.m.*. or at least update your hours online and everywhere else.

I showed up to my appointment at 8:55 for a 9am appointment. The doors were locked and the lights were off. I called the salon at 9am and no one answered. I was about to leave because I had an event at 10am and felt I was going to be late. I scheduled this appointment weeks in advance so I could have my hair done for it. Someone walked up and unlocked the doors at 9:15. She didn’t say anything or apologize. I did not realize it was even the stylist because she did not say a word to me. The appointment was rushed and lasted approximately 20min.  I paid and was out the door by 9:41. Overall it was a bad experience and I am shocked that the customer service was so poorly handled and the stylist rude. I could not tell you what her name was because she never introduced herself.

I live in Utah and was in town for a concert. At the Blo in SLC I am in love with everyone there and the service. I’ve been a member for over four years now. I was expecting this Blo to be no different and have a great time. I was absolutely wrong. I don’t know if the stylist I got was having a bad day or what… she never even introduced herself at all. She didn’t say a single word to me during the entire appointment and she BURNED me with the hair dryer a few times when using it. I really am a chill person and always try and give someone the benefit of the doubt and just carry on. I don’t want to say she was rude because that’s not true, but she wasn’t “friendly” in the slightest. I just felt like another job to her she wanted to get rid of as quickly as possible. Never even cracked a smile or responded to my question/small talk about how her day was. It was very awkward. At the end when I was checking out and I asked if I had any credits to use from my membership she rolled her eyes, but did use one. I asked for her Venmo so I could tip her and she still never even uttered a simple, “Thank you.” My hair was pretty, but it didn’t even last the night… and when I go to my Blo by me my styles always last 5-7 days…

I don’t know. The whole experience was not fun and I will never go back to this location. I hope everything turns out okay for the stylist and maybe in the future she can work on her people skills? I know we all have bad days. But that was just uncomfortable all around.

Had a great experience here earlier today! I had originally scheduled my appointment for the wrong time and they were great about helping me reschedule. Shieva was awesome, she was super receptive to my ideas and styled my hair perfectly!

Rocky Mountain Flex Fitness

Great place! Good for normal fitness routines, body building, and cross fit. All the staff are great and friendly. There are a ton of personal trainers available to work and train with. I especially love the military discount offered. This is an excellent local community gym, far better than going to a mega chain gym where the standards are lacking.

It was cute before but new expansion is 10/10! In my option there’s really nothing like it anywhere near the area. They have everything you need and the layout is great so you can definitely find a squat rack, machine, or little corner to do some free weights in multiple places without being on top of everyone else. They also just have fun equipment and vibes are just no nonsense, respectful people just there to workout. Would recommend!

Moved to Denver back in August, and tried finding a gym that was like the one I went to in Texas. Rocky Mountain Flex has exceeded all expectations and continues to show its members, that they care. The community is extremely welcoming and supportive but also pushes you to grow. That’s a gym environment you want. Best gym in Denver hands down.

Great gym! It has every piece of equipment you’ll need. They’re frequently making improvements, both big and small, so the ownership team clearly cares. Welcoming and friendly to people new to the gym (like myself) or regulars.

Rocky Mountain Flex Fitness is my favorite gym in Denver! There is a serious sense of community here that is very inviting. Everyone is really friendly and you never feel out of place.  It’s seriously the “Cheers” of gyms! It has a great selection of gym equipment from stair climbers, Woodway treadmills to a variety of weights and unique handles and bars which makes them different from other basic gyms I’ve been to.  They also have some great classes in the mornings and evenings. This place is a true Denver gem for both its friendly atmosphere and impressive equipment.

Boost Pilates LoHi

Hands down my favorite workout in Denver. I've been to all of the Boost studios in Denver and the LoHi location is my fave. Sierre is the most incredible instructor. She gives incredible workouts while playing the best music. I can't get enough! 10/10 recommend!

Taylor Ready is an AMAZING instructor. She is always making sure that we have options to modify our workout and checks in regularly to make sure we are comfortable. She creates such a fun, safe and inclusive environment while guiding us through an intense workout. She is truly exceptional!

Emily made a great first time Pilates experience! Thank you so much for your patients and enthusiasm! If you are nervous to start Pilates I recommend you come to boost for a welcoming and accepting environment🤍 you will also support local biz🤍🫶🏻

Boost is amazing! I love the classes and all of the instructors are very accommodating and you aren’t made to feel awkward at all if you’re new to Pilates which I love. There’s tons of modifications in every class where you can make it harder or easier based on your skill level. The studios are really nice too and the customer service is great. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I took my first pilates class here and could not have had a better experience. Molly, the instructor, was so lovely. She knew that I was a fresh soul in pilates, so she made sure my machine was set up well and corrected my machine whenever it was necessary. The fitness experience was unique. I enjoyed working on the reformer machine, and it brought some much needed strength training to my exercise routine. I’m excited to come back soon!

The building is located in a fairly low-foot trafficked place. There was no dedicated bike parking, so folks who bike here should keep that in mind and plan accordingly.

Fit House Denver

Been to three separate classes so far, with three different instructors, and all sessions have been engaging and intense. There’s an emphasis on form and proper movements while keeping workouts difficult. The variety is good and a lot of different movements are incorporated. You get a good balance of strength and mobility.

Besides being the only HIIT, Strength, and Kickboxing gym in Denver WITH infrared saunas, a cold plunge and compression boots….wait do you need me to keep going?

The trainers care, simple as that. I’ve been to other HIIT gyms where it seems like instructors are just passing time. Put this at the opposite end of the spectrum. They’re engaged and excited to share the custom workouts they craft every three weeks. It’s simply the best.

I love Fit House. I attended my first class a little over a year ago while shopping around different gyms in Denver, and immediately afterward I stopped looking and joined -  with no regrets. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, the classes are well thought out and always rotating, and the community is so welcoming and motivating for ALL ability levels. The Fit House family has totally changed my relationship with fitness. I can't recommend Fit House enough!

I love Fit House! Great trainers, top-notch equipment, and strong community focus. The Pure Lift classes (my favorite) are organized and have excellent programming. You can come every day of the week even if you are sore since each class has a different core muscle group focus!

Highly recommend Fit House to anyone looking to elevate their fitness game!

This gym is incredible. The coaches, classes, facilities, and people are fantastic. The Pure Lift classes and Mobility with Abbey are my personal favorites because the progress is evident and they support activities that I do in my day to day life. I love having access to a cold plunge, sauna, and stretch room for recovery. I can’t imagine going to any other gym.

Kalea Yoga

I am so incredibly grateful for the amazing team of guides at Kalea Yoga. Each teacher shares their personalized knowledge, skillset, and compassion in a warm and welcoming space. Kalea Yoga is a studio that makes you truly feel seen and cared for as you explore the depth of your own body, mind, and Spirit!

Good variety of classes. Many different instructors. Lots of space. Fully equipped yoga studio with a good workout space next door for those who want both.

I absolutely love Kalea Yoga! The studio is beautiful and calming but what really sets it apart are the amazing Yogi’s. You always feel welcome and cared for and it doesn’t matter how proficient you are in your practice. I was blessed by being able to attend YoMassage a few weeks ago and I felt so rejuvenated and relaxed afterwards. The intentions for each pose were perfect and I found myself completely surrendering into total relaxation of my mind and body. Adding a Restorative class to my schedule each week has become essential - It’s the perfect reset for my upcoming week! Try it, you will love it!

Goi's Yin Flow class last night was amazing! I came into the studio feeling a bit beat up from a long week and after her spa like class, I came out feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! She's truly a master at her practice.

This is my new favorite studio. All of the teachers I’ve experienced have been really great. The variety of classes is wonderful. It’s a lovely place to do yoga.

Transform Colorado

Transform is an absolutely incredible community. I recently moved to Colorado and was in search of a studio that was challenging, inclusive, and felt like a family. They have wonderful class times to work with any schedule. The teachers really know their stuff and make an effort to really know you, your name and goals which is not always the case. I go to class daily and miss it immensely when I am out of town. This is a great studio that I recommend to all levels. You won’t be disappointed!

Just started the climbing classes here and LOVE them. Only 30 minutes, and goes by so quickly! Feels like you’re in a fun nightclub, cool ceiling lights that are synced with the music to really motivate!

The best lagree in Denver, hands down. The consistency in the programming, music, and energy always makes this place feel like home.

Showed up 8 min early for a climbing class - instructor didn’t show up until class started and didn’t bother to ask if anyone was new. Had to ask someone next to me how to adjust the machine. The workout wasn’t anything special - rowing is a far better workout.

12/10 recommend. The owner, Beth is spectacular! Her classes are always challenging and she is incredibly helpful when it comes to all things LaGree, especially form. You really can’t go wrong with any of the instructors, they're very knowledgeable and all have great classes. A few of my favorites (but not limited to) for LaGree are Maggie, Rachel, Shilah and Sydney. Whether you're taking LaGree, climb, or yoga, the variety of class times provides flexibility which is great when scheduling. I find the unlimited package has allowed me to create a routine and improve with consistency. Get ready to sweat!

Blush Dry Bar Salon

Had the most amazing time and best experience at Blush with my Bridesmaids! Mia is very organized and attentive to anything and everything you need! Kelly is your girl if you’re looking for a natural spray tan! And Brandi is a true gem! Her talents,  experience, & knowledge exceed your expectations! The atmosphere is very inviting and creates a stress free environment when getting ready for your Wedding Day!

Had the best time! Had my wedding party hair and make up done in 2020! So cute everything was perfect! One of my favorite memories of my wedding. I looked stunning!

My wife went to the Blush Dry bar for a blowout. She said Alyssa was fantastic and that she was so nice and knowledgeable. Alyssa really listened to what my wife was interested in and gave great recommendations on what would work best for her specific hair. They gave the option to brush out your curls there, or leave them for you to brush out later and make the curls last longer. My wife found that kind of care very impressive.

Came to Colorado Springs for a wedding, so needed to find a place for my hair and makeup. The shop was very cute with lots of bridal parties enjoying their hair and makeup sessions. Very glad I found this place on the internet  Jessica was great! She was great to talk with and made sure I loved my hair makeup before leaving. I would definitely recommend this place to others! 😃

I had an incredible experience with Blush for my wedding! Brandi was so professional and easily brought my hairstyle and makeup vision to life. The whole team is so sweet and so easy to work with. Mia is the bridal coordinator and was so responsive and flexible, and ensured I had a seamless experience. Definitely choose Blush for your wedding hair and makeup needs!
