Mobility PLUS Rehabilitation

I am completing a one week clinical, and I have been blown away by the care provided at mobility plus. Dr. Ryan Lorenz is extremely thorough and does an excellent job of explaining to his patients what is going on with their body and the recovery process ahead. The rest of the staff has been very friendly, and the facility is well equipped for almost any patient!

I recently completed a nine week clinical with Ryan at Mobility Plus. I learned so much from him and his staff and feel very fortunate to have spent time working in such a positive, clean, and caring environment. Ryan  was very knowledgable and professional while training me on diagnosing and treating each patient. A big thank you to him, his staff and the wonderful patients for helping me as I continue on my road to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

I am very pleased and grateful to Ryan Lorenz and the Mobility Plus team for   their partnership as I work to regain strength and coordination after hip surgeries in 2018. I thought that "getting by" to compensate for my loss of movement was the best approach. I now see that my "accommodation" created additional weaknesses that further degraded my ability to perform/enjoy routine tasks and activities. I am re-learning the right way to walk and move. I decided I am worth the effort. So are you. Give them a call.

Dr. Ryan and his staff are very helpful, professional and pleasant to work with.  Dr. Ryan always took the time to answer my questions and explained how I could continue to improve after my allotted PT sessions ended.  I am glad to recommend Mobility PLUS Rehabilitation as an excellent resource for anyone needing physical or occupational therapy.

Ryan was thorough.  He challenged all movement motions and agility, coordination along with relearning of correct form in my walking after my bilateral knee replacement and years of adapting.  He didn't just look at getting me to an acceptable range but looked at what I did professionally, and what I wanted to regain in my leisure time. As I progressed, he continued to challenge me and listened to my input.

Iyengar Yoga Studio of Little Rock

Travelling through Little rock I was looking for a good challenging class.
Martha did not disappoint.
She is engaging helpful and an excellent teacher.
The studio is equipped with all props you need.
The class is educational all helpful for those seeking all deepening experience.

Excellent instructions about precise alignment to prevent injury. Modifications and props used extensively in order to assure each student can do the poses in the proper way. Teacher understanding and accepting of "where your body is today" and encourages honoring our bodies for how they are. In addition, the two classes I attend weekly have just the right amount of humor to make the class fun without getting distracted from the work of the session.

the classes are fine, but they don't honor their own refund policy for pre-purchased class bundles that expire two months after purchasing. if you contact them before they expire, they claim to refund the money, equivalent to the amount of the unused classes. i hurt my shoulder (not doing yoga), so i wasn't able to continue. i contacted the studio in allotted amount of time, but i never got my refund, though martha kept saying she was going to mail it - she never did.
the last promise was november 2017.

I love this place.   Check out their community yoga night on Mondays at 6 pm!  It's pay what you can and all donations go to charity. Just went back last night after many years of not practicing.  The instructor, LeeAnn was understanding and helpful. Modifications were always provided for when my body didn't quite want to follow my mind. I will be back next week!

Martha is an excellent teacher and always careful to teach to a students ability & limitations. I’ve never taken a class here that I didn’t feel better when I left than I did when I arrived.

Unity Martial Arts

I have been to multiple dojos in my past and this is the one I have stuck with. Amazing environment where I learned many skills from martial arts to social skills. I knew no one at this dojo when I first joined but 2 years later I am great friends with many of them.

I can't rate this high enough. My son started martial arts classes, but it was so fun and welcoming I started too. Challenging and encouraging, each class is unique -  the teachers are knowledgeable and creative. The new facilities as the nicest I have ever seen for martial arts, or any gym. Oh! I also took up Tai Chi and yoga! I am stronger and more flexible in my fifties than I ever was.

My son has gone here for nearly 4 years.  My daughter started nearly a year ago.  The experience is wonderful.  Out of all summer camps (SLUFY, Museum of Discovery, Zoofari, Ferncliff, etc.) for two years in a row, my son has ranked Unity's program his favorite.

A gym with depth. Not only does Tanner help you realize your physical strength, there's also a library!

Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic Center

The indoor pool and the hot tub are not working due to hvac issues. Besides that it’s nice. Never overcrowded, the nautilus/free weights equipment is a little sparse but the staff is kind.

The outdoor pool was ridiculous, the only thing you get out of it was an outdoor pool. Lifeguard was watching his cell phone. There was no concession stand but we did sneak food/drinks in with us.
Children's pool does not work.
Water slide into the main big pool does not work.
I called before I went and my questions went unanswered as the city employee did not know anything about this place. If you pay with a debit card you go inside the gym to pay, if you are wanting to pay cash then you walk around to the front of the pool entrance. This made for a very long walk with three kids!!!!
There was a very nice seating area with tables that had umbrellas to sit at but it was closed.
This place is long overdue from its former days of Glory.
Years ago when I went to the fitness center and the indoor pool it was fantastic but today's visit was only for the outdoor pool with little kids.
From my picture I'm sharing you can see we are the only people at this pool.

Mrs Frida works the front and is very nice and encouraging. This gym has alot of options for cardio.

All their classes are included in their $35 monthly membership. They even have a Sauna.

My daughter joined their water aerobics class and had a blast!

Always a good workout. It's clean, friendly staff, and good vibes.  Been coming here a few years. I love it. Best gym around town.

I took my son to this pool for the first time today and was more than disappointed.

The water was warm and dirty with dead bugs and leaves, the umbrellas weren’t attached to the tables and kept flying off if a breeze picked up, the lifeguards seemed to be making up militant rules out of the blue, and I got a chlorine rash on my arm which has never happened before.
We left after 45 minutes.

This is a decent spot if you need a day pass and a workout if you're out of town. However, if you're like me and prefer certain equipment this may not be your "forever gym".

This location didn't have flat, incline, or decline benches. So you're forced to the smith machine or dumbells. Again, not the worst if you're in a pinch and need a day pass. It's also important to note this place doesn't have 24 hour capabilities. Which is another big factor for me not signing up.

Outside of that, the one day process was simple and the staff was helpful. The facility was also very clean. Hope this helps.

Great, clean environment including the bathrooms and showers. Lots of workout equipment and no shortage of beautiful women (and buff guys I suppose).

Update: Only change seems to be fewer beautiful women. Total sausage party at times. But that's ok. Are you there to work out or pick up chicks? Let's face it. We want to do both but the latter's never gonna happen. At least not to you. Me on the other hand...  ;)

EDIT: Minus two stars. Went to work out today, Dec 22 at 8:40 pm and the gym was closed despite all signage indicating it should be open. This combined with other reductions in operating hours subtracts those two stars from my original review.

normally this planet fitness is well kept but today was disgusting. there was a group of people there that were rude and did not clean machines after them selves. every one of the machines that have the pad where your head rest was a greasy stinking mess. I had to clean up before and after as I always do but should not have to clean up the disgust of unclean and inconsiderate people not going by the rules. Where was the lunkhead alarm ? greasy nasty lunkheads even spitting on the floor. I can't believe the manager didn't say a word or ring the alarm. If this happens again I will have to find another gym.

A very friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always available to assist in answering questions.  The gym is very well maintained, clean, and sanitized.  The equipment is top of the line and the tanning beds always have fresh bulbs.  Very pleased with the North Little Rock location.

Clean, lots of equipment and has a nice comfortable atmosphere. My friend Christi has a membership so I went with her while she tanned and I got in the Hydromassage chair....Amazing! I'm buying a membership. Not just for the chair lol they have really nice tanning beds plus seeing everyone working out is motivating!

Visiting Angels

I want to thank visiting angels for the kindness and love that they have shown  to my senior friend!!  I hired them to visit him After he had fallen and broken his hip and has been confined to a nursing home!! Visiting angels has been bringing him lunch and stimulating conversation a couple days a week as he is lonesome and feeling sad!!  He is so ecstatic that he called me fighting back the tears and thanked me for giving him such a special gift of what he described as love!! Thank you Visiting Angels!!

Griswold Home Care for Fargo

Our family has been blessed with the caregivers from Griswolds.  We called with immediate need and they had someone within a week.  I am happy to say I would give the caregivers that were sent a 5+ in the stars.   They were kind, patient and caring.   Thank you for providing a much needed service in the community.

Griswold Home Care is a fabulous place to work. The atmosphere is very family like. The training we receive is ongoing and very educational. The addition of the animal therapy program has been very well received by our clients.  I enjoy caring for our clients and my job is very rewarding; I know that I make a difference each and every day.

Griswold Home Care of Fargo provided excellent service for our family during the recent need for in home care. Employees were caring and quickly established a relationship with the in-home patient. Staff were always very timely even when we requested 24-hour care with multiple care providers. The staff were asked to keep accurate records of services provided and monitored use of medications. All records were kept up to date and timely. Griswold Home Care was very responsive to special requests and changed employees to make the best of difficult home care services required by the patient. Through the in-home services period Griswold employees showed empathy, kindness, and friendship towards all family members. We are grateful for the services provided and caring relationships that developed during the in-home health care period.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Griswold Home Care. They have been such a blessing for my Dad.

He has complex medical issues that require top-notch aides, flexibility and quick thinking from his home health agency.

From the perspective of his staffing, we couldn't be happier. He has the most qualified, kind, and nurturing staff members. They take excellent care of him while maintaining a happy, healthy apartment for him to live in.

We are just as happy with Griswold's office staff as we are with his aides. They are there for us whenever we need them. Even if that means in the middle of the night, or early on a Sunday morning. They've been able to arrange staffing at a moment's notice (literally) due to an unexpected hospital discharge. Crystal, Lance, Alexis and the other staff are so helpful when it comes to problem-solving and keeping on top of his numerous issues.

As I tell his staff often, he's able to live in his own place because of them. He'd be in a nursing home right now if not for the qualified services provided by Griswold. I wholeheartedly recommend Griswold to anyone looking for home health care. They are the best and we couldn't be happier.

Griswold is a great place to work! The directors treat everyone as if they were family! We have the most supportive staff and take such amazing care of our clients.
I love when I get to see our caregivers in action doing what they love. The smile that they bring to their clients is priceless.

D1 Cabot

D1 is an excellent gym that has something for the whole family. I started here when I was 41 after going through some injuries. I’ve learned a lot from all the coaches. I’m a lot more athletic now and in much better shape after learning how to lift properly with less weight than I was using before. They also have classes specifically for kids athletics.

Everyone in there is very supportive of each other. I strongly recommend D1 for anyone.

My daughter went to a birthday party here. The girls did a good job keeping the kids interested and busy.

Awesome weight lifting competition, my son achieved 4 state records.

Blue Yoga Nyla

Stacey has created an amazing space that is filled with warmth, natural lighting and teachers that are so welcoming. I truly enjoyed my class and surroundings. Stacey is so willing to share her immense yoga and healing expertise with you. I highly recommend checking Blue Nyla out! Thanks for welcoming me so warmly.

My PCP wanted me to try yoga. Hardware in my neck, PT, massage, and hip injections I agreed. I tried 2 other groups geared for seniors, and found no help. I went reluctantly with a friend, only agreeing to try it once. I felt a little better, nice people, encouraged to do what I could, not do it like this. Now been a year. Wish I had done this 10 years ago before EVERYTHING was stiff and sore.

It's been almost 18 months since a major back injury took me off the mat. Over the last few months I've been doing some easy level zero work at BYN with Rebecca. It's been good. I knew it was time to step up. I had enjoyed Terri's classes in the past. Today was my first with her again. WOW! She's always been good, but her growth, intuition and calling skills are clearly better. It was a great welcome back to level one class. Looking forward to more of her classes.

Extremely friendly and helpful to newcomers! Good space to practice. Teacher was very accommodating and easy going. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to give yoga a try. Great first timer special, $10 for 10 days!

I tried yoga many times in my life but it never clicked until I found Blue Yoga Nyla. I love the welcoming atmosphere and the classes that range from restorative to very challenging (Are You Kidding Me on Wednesday nights is so, so good for a really challenging practice!). There are always new student specials!
