I had a blast and learned a lot when I went there 3yrs ago. We trained for a week there and the rest of the training took place back at our plant

Instructors are great. I have learned alot and I understand iam out of shape.

Thank you!!! They noticed my sons and I watching while they cleaned their firehouse bay. They turned on sirens and lights for them and then brought over hats and stickers. My boys were so excited! Then they even let us come over for a quick tour. When we left the boys couldn’t stop talking about the really nice firefighter and cool trucks! Thank you for taking the time to make their day! My little one really wants to come back and be brave next time and get in the truck like his brother!

Thank you to all you guys, you have helped my boyfriend and i with many odd requests of wasps too many times to count lol, shoveling me out of my house after an avalanche outside my door, and being so great with my boyfriend today on our way to the hospital!! (We need to make you guys a cake and a gift basket or SOMETHING!!)

Delaware State Fire School

Great place for getting top notch training to become a firefighter the staff all the way from the director all the way down to the the instructor aides are all very skilled and knowledgeable in what they teach and the props they setup for hands on experience the food sometimes can be a little mysterious but all in all great experience place to learn and build your skills to become a firefighter

A few of the instructors are complete tool bags. Whatever they serve in the cafeteria I can 100% guarantee inmates in the state penitentiary are having the same. Almost inedible...... Seriously?? I was just there 3 weeks ago. The instructor acted like a five year old. The chicken sandwich?  That wasn't chicken and you know it.

Honestly idc what people say but Fire school will forever be the best moments in a young persons career like mines, you meet funny and cool people that you wouldn't see on a fire in Ur county, everyone is friendly yeah there can be some ahole instructors and horrible food sometimes but its more about the friendships you have and the training/knowledge you are building the instructors are there to help because they want you to be better than them and honestly there are some people who are, but no matter what The Delaware State Fire School did a good job with making the 17 week Fire academy because you learn a lot and meet some great people / instructors and gofers

State fire training facility, thousands have trained here, best place in the state, popular. WSF trains here, as well as many Seattle area Maritime schools. Seattle Maritime Academy students often go here for STCW Fire Basic Safety Training

Hundreds of students receive invaluable training in fire suppression every year at this facility nestled in an incredibly scenic location.

Portland Fire Department Training

This was a wonderful training center. Classroom was just the right size, screens are well situated and easy to see from any seat. Bathrooms were clean and well appointed.

Awesome Training Center! I appreciate PF&R letting Portland NET use it for meetings, and Exercises. Also Multnomah County ARES has their meetings there every 4th Thursday of the month at 7 pm.

I had a heart attack this was close to were I was at I pull up let them know what was going on they jump into action and treated me.  Took care of everything like a pro.  Thank you.
