You've Got Maids of Torrance

Please beware of this service! We had them come for a major cleaning and ended up with $500+ damages to our NEWLY INSTALLED WOOD FLOOR. The cleaning itself was adequate, but when we took a closer look at the floor, we saw multiple deep scratches. Apparently, the maids dragged the couch around instead of tipping it or else putting pads beneath the feet. We had the floor installer look at it, he said it was not repairable and we needed to replace the damaged boards. We contacted the maid service owner who came to inspect the damage. He saw it was 8-10 boards and he agreed that he would pay the $500 repair bill. Their policy is that they do not move furniture because of this type of thing. He promised to send us the check the next week. The next week, no check. He said sorry and he would send it out right away. A week later, still nothing. When we contacted him again, he told us he had no intentions of paying for the damage, instead offering only ½ the repair bill. If we didn’t accept his offer, he said he would not repay anything at all. I told him that we would have to take the case to small claims court. He also said that if we put a bad review about this, he would have it removed as he said he has done with the other negative reviews. He also threatened to put in a bad review on my business that HE HAS NEVER BEEN TO! We are seniors who really don’t need this kind of stress. Actually nobody deserves this treatment. There are many maid services out there that will earn your business and respect, these guys aren’t them.

I've been using You've Got Maids for over a year and am VERY happy with their service - especially Team Two!!! With three members working the house is done quickly and thoroughly. I feel the price is reasonable and therefore I highly recommend.

Team 2 is great. I'll admit that I wasn't convinced that a service could compare to my long term housekeeper that retired, but these gals are professional, and quick. I am a short time user, but happily continuing. Thanks for the great work Team 2.

You’ve got Maids is far below reasonable standards in both services delivered and general customer service. I paid nearly $400 for 8 hours (4 hours/each person) of a move in clean. The owner tried to actively sell me less when booking, which I was adamant I needed to have a deep clean of the home including wiping out appliances, baseboards etc. and was happy to pay for more if the house warranted when they were here, in which I was promised oversight and communication as they went. They were meant to send 2 cleaners and a Supervisor. The Supervisor did not come, there was no communication about the lack of Supervisor in advance and no offering of an alternative. There was a language barrier between me and the cleaners. They did indeed spend the 4(8 hours) however it’s unclear what they actually accomplished. The pictures below show you the inside of my refrigerator when I had to wipe it out myself and the dirty bucket is from one bedroom floor 10x10ft after they supposedly mopped it. I found food and hair on the countertops as well, which is just again, below any level of acceptable standard for any level of cleaning service. At 7 months pregnant I had to spend 5 hours myself re-doing the entire house because it was not even remotely clean. When I called to complain, the owners did everything they could to blame me. Stating I should have followed them around the entire time and told them exactly what to do, despite the fact I paid for a very specific service that is listed out. I also find the suggestion that your customer pays a high price for service and then are expected to hover over the cleaners, with a language barrier and direct them; I’d imagine the cleaners would find this insulting. The resolution was them offering a 10% discount to “just make it go away”. I had to fight for nearly 20% discount. Still out $360 and had to redo the entire place myself. I would normally never write a bad review, especially for a small business but this service is below any level of acceptable and I’d hate to see others out the money I was for the headache and no saved time.

I would recommend this cleaning service to anyone 10/10. The maids always do a amazing job and keeps my home looking brand new.
