Had the absolute PLEASURE of a dinner at YiaYia's this week. I have never been, my sis-in-law has and her ravings were SPOT ON. This is hands
down the BEST traditional Greek food I may have had in 30 yrs! It is a small, charming restaurant. The menu is small, in my experience the small menu means the food is done very well. The waitstaff were very attentive, kind and professional. This is not fast food- good food takes time and was worth the wait. Portions were perfect. The hand-made baklava was INSANELY good. I mean probably the best I have ever had, and it is my favorite dessert so I have tasted many! The only bad thing I can say is I live 2 hours away... can't wait to go back someday hopefully soon!
My wife and I recently ate at YiaYia's for the first time - I had wanted to go there for a few years, but never found the time until now. What a treat this place is. The atmosphere is really unique. The staff are super friendly and very helpful with making recommendations for first time diners. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We'll definitely be coming back here - I can't wait!
Excellent food. The atmosphere feels like you're in a European setting. The floors are made of stones I think. I had their chicken gyro and their Mykos beer. I liked the beer but that gyro was really good. I'd come back.
I had heard about YiaYia's being mentioned in some awesome lists of restaurants across the state and country and had to check it out for myself. Now I know why. It is a very cute place with authentic and expertly prepared food. We really enjoyed the eggplant and zucchini chips with tzatziki dip, spanikopida and gyros. We'll definitely be back to try other menu items.
Yia Yia's is an absolute gem if you're looking for amazing Greek food. Every single thing we had was so fresh and full of flavor that was far better than any other Greek restaurant we have tried. I highly recommend the gyros, dips, and incredible pita. The Greek wine is wonderful as well, it adds a nice balance to round out your meal.
Portions are very reasonable for the price and quality of food. Staff are all very friendly and happy to tell you all about the different menu offerings. We felt welcome and had great service without feeling rushed at all.
