Vista Yoga

I’ve attended a number of classes and chanting/New Year’s Eve events at Vista Yoga. The folks who run the place and clientele are always kind and courteous. You can tell they genuinely care, and practice what they preach. Compared to other studios I’ve attended in the Atlanta area, the teachers seem to be more well-versed in the true intentions of the yoga practice. It’s always about showing up how you are today, and gently nudging yourself in a happier and healthier direction. Mind you, I have not attended any of the more advanced classes, so I cannot speak on them. However, I have every reason to believe that they are good! As always, Listen to your own body!! Once or twice instructors have made adjustment suggestions that weren’t quite right for me at the moment, but I was able to adjust and make the pose work because I listened to my body, and they didn’t push me. Also as always, find the instructors that work for you! I vibe with some more than others, no matter where I practice, so of course this is the case at Vista. Overall, a solid, lovely studio!

My spouse has been attending classes since about 2010, virtually attending since 2020; secular, usually 5 or 6 days a week. She's consistently had great experiences with very kind, caring, and professional managers, staff, and clients. Highly recommended.

My pelvic floor therapist recommended that I start practicing yoga to support our work together. When I arrived for my very first yoga class, ‘Gentle Yoga’ with Patty Schmidt, I was greeted with sincere warmth and welcomed by one of the studio’s owners, Marty. I felt completely at ease and safe with the social distancing and other COVID safety measures. The class itself was a revelation to me-Intrinsically relaxing while also challenging me to harness that feeling to go deeper. Patty was absolutely wonderful-Serene, encyclopedically knowledgeable, encouraging, generous in spirit...She took the time after class to ask me about my needs and goals for yoga practice and provided me with thoughtful recommendations for other classes to attend at the studio. Thank you Patty. My path will definitely lead me back to Vista Yoga.

I absolutely love everything about Vista Yoga! Marti and Marty are wonderful, as are the other instructors I have taken classes from. There are so many options of classes and workshops and the care and dedication is obvious in everything these instructors do. An absolutely wonderful studio.

I'm a little sad I dont live in Decatur, this has been one of my favorite studios I've visited. My sister and I took three of the All Levels classes while visting with three different teachers. Each class was completely unique while still offering a wonderful blend of flow and more restorative postures. The teachers were genuine and helpful with their practices, the space was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I practice yoga ridiculously regularly while my sister takes classes quite sporadically and both of us fell in love with the space. Thanks for having us, Vista!
