Visiting Angels

When I accepted the position at Visiting Angels it was a complete career change for me, I knew that caring for human beings came natural to me so I decided to give it a try. I had attended nursing school several years prior although I did not finish do to a family health crisis. When things calm down and I returned to the workforce I accepted a corporate position. Even though I was an essential part of the day today operations I wasn't happy or fulfilled. I started with Visiting Angels about a year before the COVID epidemic, and I continue to be employed with Visiting Angels to this day. From caregivers point of view this job is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I have ever been a part of! I have been blessed with the opportunity to care for the same clients for years. I always pass my thoughts an the mindset that I have about being a caregiver. NOTHING is more important than a human life! Take care of the client as if they were a member of your own family! Leave the clients home better than when you arrived. I adore the clients as well as the families I work with! It isn't very often that a high level employee makes themselves readily available for you, but working with Visiting Angels management they have always been available for any concerns. Visiting Angels has created an environment for me to thrive as a caregiver. I just want to say thank you to Visiting Angels for the opportunity and thank you to the beautiful families for letting me be a part of your lives I am for the better.

I worked for Visiting Angels for 2 years. I loved my job and my clients. Betsey and Rich were fantastic to work for. They are fair and compassionate and go out of their way to work with you. I was very fortunate to work for such a great company.

We engaged with Visiting Angels as my mom was transitioning home from a stay in rehab after a fall. Betsey, the owner and executive director, met with us to define the scope of needs and then her team identified the "angels" to come to assist my mom. While not every caregiver was a fit, Betsey and her team quickly made adjustments and developed a team that my mom adores. They do amazing work and have been so critical to my mom's successful transition home. The "angels" have been gifts to our entire family. I would highly recommend their services.

I absolutely loved working here, it’s the first caregiving job I’ve had where they truly do care about their employee’s and they always are sure to give great feedback! I felt very seen and welcomed here for the two years I was with them, and the clients I had I have absolutely loved my time with them, they have all felt like more like family! Everyone is so sweet and understanding! This is the best place to work! :)

Betsey Morthland and her team at Visiting Angels have been just that...angels! They have been providing support and care for a member of my family for nearly a year, with daily home visits to provide help with light household chores, companionship, and transportation for weekly grocery shopping and various appointments. They have truly been a partner in care. This has meant the world to me and my family, as we are spread across the country and cannot take on the daily tasks. Betsey herself has gone above and beyond to ensure our needs were met; she and her team are responsive, compassionate, and have provided an excellent standard of care.
