VASA Fitness

I recently moved to Denver and was looking for a new gym. VASA was one of the gyms people recommended. I went there and was welcomed in by the staff. I can't remember the girls name that gave me the tour but she was super nice and showed me all the things. The gym is super clean and huge. I think for everything they offer the pricing is top notch. Went to my first class and it was AMAZING!!

Yesterday was my first time at Vasa & it’s been yrs since I’ve been to a gym. I did not get a tour. My son, who recommended Vasa, was able to show me around. I would like to see the Women’s locker area more clearly marked, from the entrance & workout area you cannot see any signage. I noticed there were no weights under 5 lbs. and there are not resistance bands available on main floor, except the fenced in area. The ones for purchase are narrow and to long for certain exercises. The showers run a bit cold and the one I used lacked decent water pressure. I love the hydro massage. There is no wall space available for exercises that require a wall & no chair or stool available either. Staff seemed friendly, smiled, but none spoke with me when I came in. I watched others check in to see the process. I’m excited to try out the theatre, pool, and such. After reading many reviews I am concerned about coming in later in the day due to crowds and rambunctious teens.

pretty busy so going during the day during working hours are your best bet to get any equipment, but there are spaces where you can grab the dumbbells and do your workouts on turf

my employment experience here was disappointing to say the least. the gym is always busy. the bathrooms and locker rooms are dirty. they undervalue their staff. i taught yoga here for 6 months making beautiful connections with the members, working on balance, mobility and cultivating inner peace. yoga should be accessible to people with normal gym memberships. but teaching yoga at a gym is insufferable. people slamming weights, music so loud it can be felt through the floor boards, ego driven people coming in to take pictures of themselves in the middle of classes. if you are considering teaching yoga here I would warn you it will be terrible; because you will want to help the kind members, but the management will never value you. if i could rate it 0 stars i would.

While the amenities are great, the cleanliness is lacking in the locker rooms and pool areas by a lot. Trash in locker rooms, standing water on the floor, missing shower curtains, showers look like they’ve never been cleaned. They have also been out of goggles for the tanning bed for weeks and tell you to bring your own yet nowhere in the area sells them. No apology for having to pay for amenities you can’t use.
