We are new to Eagle River so we needed to get our mailbox keys. With Christmas around the corner, despite the busy postal office, Angie still went above and beyond. She found time to call me after I tried going into the office 2 days in a row with my kids to let me know when the key was actually ready. Along with mailing Christmas cards, I have gotten to know Angie and her efficiency is beyond this world. She is not only fast but super friendly, honestly best employee ever! She makes going to postal office not a drag!

Nothing but issues with my packages being delivered to my home. My mom sent a package and it “was attempted to be delivered” which is baloney because I have a camera by my front door and they never attempt to deliver any packages. I then went back to the post office several times that week asking for my packages and they said I had nothing and turned around and resent it back to my mom after “I didn’t try to get the package.” I have lived all over the world and this is by far the worst post office I’ve been to. Not saying all employees are bad, because there are a few who are fantastic. This post office needs to just do better about getting packages and mail delivered to homes.

They keep saying mailbox is unsecured but won’t just leave the package at the door or ring the doorbell to see if anybody is home to claim. I rent and am having issues with my landlord getting a new lock for my box and I have been to USPS multiple times to tell them of the situation yet they still hold ALL of my mail and packages, including paychecks. They then send the mail back to the original location so that now when I come to pick up my mail, it’s not there anymore. They told me that they assumed “I moved out” because the box wasn’t secure. If they just rang the doorbell or left the package at the door it would be obvious that I do still live here. I understand I need a secure mailbox to deliver, but there was no attempt to even see if I’m home to hand deliver to me.

This post office is great. If any issues came up they would be dealt with swiftly. The personnel behind the counter are some of the kindest and hard working people. It is a busy area so sometime you just have to be patient.
