We stayed at Under canvas west Yellowstone for 7 nights. The campsite was immaculate, food was great and the service was great even though we noticed the restaurant was short staffed. I would only recommend a more variable food menu although I imagine most people don’t stay at the camp for an entire week. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating to our family (we travelled with a 2.5 yo and 1 yo). The campsite was a short drive from the West Yellowstone entrance. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend to others!
This hotel gives you all the best parts of camping without the worst parts. We had a great 4 night stay here in early September. The tents and facilities were well maintained and the staff was super helpful and nice. Really appreciated that we could reach hotel staff by text message.
One negative was that the restaurant has limited food choices, but that may have been because we came at the end of the season.
The location was amazing! The view was breathtaking in the mornings. Accommodations were great. The facilities in the tent were great. It got a bit chilly in the morning (38) but the wood burning stove did a great job. It was a great experience that we will always cherish.
We just returned from a 5 night stay here and we loved it! The location was great - close enough to west Yellowstone that there was lots of different food options when we got tired of the nearby restaurant (and got some great recs from the people who worked there). The park was close (recommend getting there early - if you hit the busy time for getting in, there is so much traffic.)
Everyone who worked here was super kind and helpful. The s’mores / fire pit / bar in the evening was awesome. Tons of people came down which made for a great atmosphere. My daughter made new friends seemingly every night playing around on a climbing structure they have near the lobby.
We booked a horseback ride with the concierge - it was super smooth to do the booking and the ride was great.
We stayed in a deluxe tent with attached kids tent. Because of the temps, the kids ended up staying in the main tent with the stove to be more comfortable. The kids tent made for an excellent hideaway for them though. The bed was comfy and once I got used to the pull chain, the shower was great. Also - stepping out in the middle of the tent and seeing the stars was amazing and something that will stay with me.
Highly recommend!
A lot of fun! It was nice to glamp with an affordable price tag. If you're not up for making your own fire to keep your tent warm this isn't the place for you.
I would change:
food availability, eating places, options. It's quite limited all around and we couldn't get into the restaurant the time we tried.
