I am very dissatisfied with my experience at Tom Wood Collision. After waiting two months for an appointment, my car was in the shop for repair of a rear fender bender for four months. (see attached picture of car damage) The final bill was $14,058 despite very few replacement parts or repairs being needed. Coordination and communication with my insurance company was poor. I did receive weekly texts with standard messages like ‘ your car is in line, waiting to be taken apart’, but no personal communication as to the reason for four months in the shop. No loaner car was offered. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop
Maybe TLDR, but read it anyway!
My car looks amazing! We knew it was going to be a tall & extensive order for basically a full restoration of my Z, but the entire staff at TWC was happy to take it on.
Everyone from the front desk staff, Rhonda & Ashley for handling the needed paperwork & keeping me updated on the progress of repairs. To the admin staff & manager; Josh, Tylor, Kyle for keeping me informed on every process & putting my plans into motion & execution of the vision for my Z. To the A-Team, Dakotah, Juan, Owen & Mike, Rosalio & Montej who has done amazing work to bring new life back to my car, the body & paint look fantastic. Their tireless efforts, attention to detail and genuine care put into the work has shown commitment to the customers' satisfaction. The ADP team, Paul & Robert who did the impossible by reconditioning my wheels back to new condition. And finally the Detail department, Randy, Kayla, Joe & Rob, who have put the final touches on the car. Both interior & brand new exterior show their dedication to the above & beyond attitude & work ethic for every car & customer.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the Tom Wood Collision crew!!
I tried calling several times and left messages without a call back. When I finally got my car there with the help of Tom Wood Land Rover, it sat for over 2 weeks without being worked on and I never received a call for an update. I had to push them to file a claim under the expensive warranty I had purchased. When they did, they maxed out the claim to try to get as much money as possible and didn’t even send measurements for the dents, which inevitably resulted in my claim being declined. I have since worked with the warranty company to file the claim the correct way saving me thousands of dollars out of pocket and having my dents repaired by a competent company. Just to add a cherry on top, the POS rental they gave me wreaked like cigarettes and had ashes in the ashtray… I’m not a smoker.
Excellent Customer Service and support from Ashley and Kayla, the Collision Center’s Receptionist’s, who will answer all of your questions regarding your claim and insurance coverage. They’ll have your rental car available and be available to you throughout the whole process. I’m a single, senior woman and this was a great help. Zack, the estimator, texted me daily about the progress of my repair and was very conscientious, patient and knowledgable. Josh, the General Manager did a great job overseeing the repair of my Forester and completing it in good time. Enterprise Car Rental Service next door was helpful in many ways. Thank you Tom Wood Collision Center!!
First, I will start with the positives. The front desk staff was super helpful and very attentive. Unfortunately, that is where the positives stop for my experience. My car was with Tom Wood Collision for 2 months. No repairs were even started until the last two weeks of that time. My service representative was less than helpful or timely. I understand and appreciate there were some back and forth with the insurance company but this should not have taken that long to repair. In the end, I got my car back and it's still not completed. To add insult to injury, the final amount owed grew from ~$1.1K to ~$2.4K. When asked why the difference I was told there were some "scans" that were not included and the price of the parts quoted came in more than anticipated. Over double the quoted amount in ~15 days is completely unacceptable. I ended up paying the expenses out of pocket just to get my car back. Not only did that cost me but the additional time I had to have a rental car cost me an additional $500. Being the only "Audi certified" repair shop apparently does not come with the typical service I would expect from Audi. I am considering not getting another Audi because of this experience.
