THE GYM - Star, Idaho

Been going here for a year now. My wife and I love The Gym! Super clean, friendly and has everything we need. The owners are super nice and listen to input from the members. Machines are always kept clean and running tip top shape! Honestly I want to be selfish and say skip this place because of how great it is and keep this a hidden gem in Star. You won’t regret coming here!

I had to switch cards for my billing. There was a mix up and a closed account was billed- so my monthly payment was not made. Instead of shutting down my key faub, they were extremely understanding and friendly......the two gentlemen I talked to informed me that they do not shut down the entry keys without first talking the member- I very much appreciated that so my workout routine was not affected whatsoever! I've been a member at numerous gyms- planet fitness, Johnny's, anytime, snap and even a couple "mom and pop" places. The Gym has been above all of these in my experiences and very much customer service oriented! They do care about their members and understand the importance some of us (at least myself) put on keeping with a workout routine! I was seriously stressing that I'd miss a Sunday workout! LOL. So thank you to the entire staff at The Gym- place is clean, never out of anything, super friendly and everything always working!

Overall this is a great gym. The price is reasonable and it has an impressive amount of equipment for how small it is. The owners are friendly and do a great job maintaining the building/equipment. The other members that I have interacted with are all very friendly and help to create a comfortable environment to work out in. As mentioned earlier this is a small gym so if you are looking for exotic equipment or multiple of every machine this is not the gym for you. The gym normally had no more than 8 people in at a time and you can often find less than 3-4 other people.

Plenty of equipment /machines and plenty to do for a small gym. Love the community and positive attitudes. Super clean and safe. Love the 24hr access! Kind of obsessed actually.

The new owners always keep it super clean, all of the equipment is good quality and not broken, It’s clear they take pride in the layout and atmosphere. Always a super good vibe in the gym, and I especially love the addition of the Echo Bike and Assault Runner treadmill! Not to mention they recently traded out the somewhat dated treadmills to all matching high quality treadmills. I’m a runner, and it’s nice to use a treadmill that doesn’t have all the BS heart rate/age charts and different programs that people don’t ever use. Hit any percentage incline button, or any mph button and it quickly gets there. Kind of an obscure preference, but it’s nice! Also it’s the only gym in Star that has a squat rack, which it has two. 5/5
