Sugar Shack

We spent 4 days in the area and ate here 4 times. Great burgers and the Philly was great too. I like that they allow you to refill your drink yourself. We also enjoyed the associated ice cream stand. Prices are reasonable. It'd be great to see the port-a-johns go away and proper restrooms get built.

I have wanted to visit this restaurant for around 20 years and we were finally in the area around dinner time and made it work. As long as you go here expecting a frozen patty that’s been grilled in appropriate levels of grease with similarly prepared toppings, you’ll be super happy. Unfortunately, I failed to prepare my wife thusly. 🤣

The food was good. This is definitely a spot off the beaten path. The building is in rough shape, and there was standing water in the bathrooms. But despite that it was good.

Loved this for an awesome burger and fries with the guys. Wouldn't hesitate to bring family, too. Nice people and service. Bar seating, indoor tables (tight seating), and outdoor seating. Super small place that puts out big taste. Restrooms are in the basement, watch your head on the way down.

Lil hole in wall spot with excellent service and burgers. We stopped in while riding ATV in hills. Ice cold beer available.
