Conveniently located fast food restaurant in Bono just of U.S. 63. Due to it's location, it can be tricky exiting out on 63 when traffic is heavy. They have all the items other Sonics have and the happy hour deals we have come to expect. This location does have a drive-thru. The service has always been good as well.
About 3 months ago, we had a not so pleasant encounter with a young, dirty blond, curly headed young man. Before we proceeded to eat our meal, my families hands were joined, heads were bowed & my husband was saying a quick prayer before we ate our meal. We were eating on the patio, outside of our vehicle in Bono. Our eyes were closed & we didn't realize that a young man had walked up & was going to give more of our meal. Instead of letting him finish, he interrupted my husband's prayer with a loud "HERE YA GO! I'm in a HURRY" and also had quite an attitude while doing it. He even went as far as pushing through my children's hands that were joined for prayer. We were HIGHLY offended. Needless to say, I let him know that was inexcusable and he unapoligetocally ignored me and rushed on his way.
We came back about a month later & got ice cream after a long day at the lake. This time when we pulled up, there was a different young man power washing the parking lot outside. I parked in the first spot as you come in, as I am handicapped & need a mobility scooter or wheelchair if walking more than a room or twos length away. After ordering, the young man asked me if I would move my vehicle so he could power wash that spot. I looked directly at him & told him no. (I was still upset about last time we were there, even though he was not the same person).
Even though I had told him no, while eating, my husband shared with me that during our prayer, he had stepped outside & when he noticed we were in prayer, he took his hat off, bowed his head & waited for him to finish to continue his work.
Now that, is pure respect.
That is the type of respect we give others & would expect the same in return.
Needless to say, we went ahead & moved our vehicle so he could finish power washing & I apologized for not being more helpful in the beginning.
Of the many times I've eaten at this Sonic in Bono, I will most definitely never forget these two experiences.
I hope the 2nd worker continues to lead with a good example for others, as he certainly taught me a lesson that day about kindness.
Super fast. Every spot was taken and the drive-through lane was full but you couldn't tell it by us. The food was done and out to us in less than 10 minutes. Hot and fresh fries!
The food never disappoints at the Sonic I take my family too. The car hops are always quick and friendly too. The parking lot is clean and well maintained. The only complaint is how often the app malfunctions.
