My son and I love Safari Kids Learning Daycare they are very professional caring and reliable and they make sure that the children are well taking care. Kids are learning there ABC and 123's, coloring, signing dancing and playing outside to burn off some energy and meals are prepared daily and fresh every day for the children (nut-free).
This daycare is not what it seems to be.
The eldest caretaker Ms.Kathy, yells at the children, speaks down to the assistants and belittles everyone around her. She is tired and old and should not be working in this environment if she does not have the proper patience to be working with children. The so called owner of the daycare is consistently absent on a daily basis for hours upon and hours and leaves the assistant alone to over see the children, change diapers, educate, feed, and clean up after. She does little to care for the children on her own. This daycare will expect you to do everything for them and treat you poorly in return.
If lunchtime has passed for the children and the children ask for a sip of water they will be denied it as well as any additional food. They do not do background checks or have a covid safe environment. There is no sanitizing or wearing of masks in this daycare. They serve the food cold to the children. I've witnessed the eldest caretaker grab a child by the arm in a rough manner. They do not report to the state that they have unlicensed assistants. They ask you to hide when they have virtual check ins from any daycare officials. They also pay all their assistants under the table and below minimum wage. They make you adhere to their rules and regulations which they do not follow. This is no place I would ever leave a child of my own. I would rank this daycare a 1/10.
The eldest caretaker also uses scare tactics to intimidate the children and pushes around daycare furniture which scares the children. The asstants arrive after the children have arrived and leave before the pick up, so there is no interaction between the assistant and the parent.
I had my kids going to this place for short term.
First of all, the street address was different from "1016 Roundtree Ct, Sacramento" but it was still in the same Pocket area in Sacramento.
I generally liked the place. I assume this is family-owned, individual daycare, and given that the service and the tuition were reasonable for me.
That said, as I observed, kids were constantly watching TV and using personal electronics, at the time of both dropoff and pickup. I asked how long kids were exposed at maximum. Can't recall exactly the answer but something reasonable at the time. I just hope they were honest, despite I saw both they watch TV morning and the evening so it could go more than 30 mins/day, which is a debatable amount. As I mentioned I understand this is likely an in-home business so personally I didn't request to stop but simply hope that the exposure was minimum.
My child has been going to this daycare for 2 months. She is always happy and says that she likes this daycare. Kids in there all look friendly and happy.
Safari learning daycare is truly a blessing to my family and I. It’s everything we were looking for and more the location is great, the price is life saving and the staff is just amazing and I highly recommend them.
