I love this place! My boyfriend and I will probably return here as our usual lunch spot. There aren’t a lot of different, casual places in Jonesboro. This place definitely took first prize! The staff is so sweet, accommodating, and genuinely makes you feel like you’re at home. The owner is an amazing person as well! The food was freshly made and absolutely delicious. 100% recommend!
I have a new favorite restaurant in Jonesboro. I am always looking for ethnic food, whether it's far east or far west and anywhere in between. Pella is the real deal; the decor is charming and the music lends authenticity without being obtrusive. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me immediately with a warm smile, ordering was painless, and the food arrived before I had a chance to turn around twice. I ordered hummus and chicken schwarma. I can't find a negative. When I asked for a takeout box, he offered me Turkish tea which is exactly what I needed.
Ethnic food doesn't have to be intimidating and this place is Exhibit A. Great food and atmosphere without pretention.
I visited Pella Cafe for the first time this week, and I absolutely loved it! Immediately upon entering I appreciated the atmosphere-- lots of plants, seating options, a chess board, large canvas photos of Greece (I presume) and just a very cozy and comfortable environment. The young man who was working was super friendly and helpful-- happy to tell me about menu items and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I ordered the sampler appetizer to try their falafel, hummus, grape leaf wraps, etc ... I also ordered the Iskender entree, which was the most tender beef and lamb atop small pieces of pita bread. My friend ordered the Chicken Shawarma sandwich (wrap) and some lamb chops to take home. It was all delicious! Everything was really great, and I can't wait to go back!
I don’t ever care enough to right reviews but this place was just way too deserving for me not to. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for the first time a couple weeks ago. It initially caught my eye from the aesthetic of the place- I thought it was beautifully decorated and it fit my vibe so well. As soon as we walked in I fell in love, not only with the look and intimacy of it, but the top tier customer service- I have NEVER been to a place that had such GOOD customer service, it blew me away. The person who took our orders/ gave us our food made us feel like valued customers with his inviting demeanor and friendly personality. He warned us that our trunk was open and said that it anything was taken they had camera footage if necessary and could compensate us for any stolen items, whatever we needed (everything was fine as it was only open for a little and nothing was in the car anyway but it was very generous). He also gave us Turkish tea on the house and just whatever we needed in the slightest- he was ready to happily accommodate. The food was a new experience for me but an experience I don’t regret as it was every meaning of the word “delicious” (especially the garlic sauce they have). This place is in a spot that is often times overlooked but the quality of this restaurant and it’s employees are superior and deserve a lot more attention. I had only $20 bucks in my wallet but I had never been so happy to give it all up as a tip. $10 for the chef and $10 for the very kind gentleman who was at the register. This place will not disappoint! My boyfriend and I will be going back there as often as we broke, full-time students can afford to eat out!
Absolutely one of a kind in NE Arkansas! I’ve tried several dishes. The Lamb Gyros is still my favorite though. I’ve eaten Greek food in 3 Country’s. 2 of them being in the Middle East and still in my top 5 favorite! You won’t be disappointed. And if it’s your first time trying? This is a great place to start. Cheers!
