Old Town Plaza

Old town Albuquerque is a great place to shop and find authentic products. It’s has many shops to explore with very beautiful art, clothing, jewelry,cafe, and ice cream shops. Prices are reasonable. Depending on day and time you go can be crowded. Beautiful site to see. Pay to park. Lots of walking. Recommend you wear a good pair of comfortable shoes.

Old Town Square was an interesting place and encourage you to visit when you are in the Albuquerque area. I was there to check out a few shops for souvenirs to take home and along the way, stopped in the square to admire the foliage and leaves that fell creating what I thought to be a picturesque moment. We strolled around and visited a few shops and outside vendors. Recommend for everyone - there is something worth checking out.

Cool stores. Old mission, lots of cool jewelry. A few bars for a drink and some good food options. Nice square in the center to chill out in. Cheap parking 1.00 for 30 minutes. Free parking close by. Restrooms on the far west side.

We love our annual holiday walk through Old Town Plaza. It's festive and has all the NM vibes you've been wanting! It's not just a must for out of owners - the locals, like us, love it too!

Strolling through the Plaza, I had the chance to admire the craftsmanship of local artisans, from beautiful jewelry to traditional pottery and artwork that beautifully reflects the cultural diversity of New Mexico. The San Felipe de Neri Church, with its striking twin bell towers, is a centerpiece of Old Town and adds to the area's historical significance. Inside, the church is a serene space that offers a quiet respite from the vibrant streets outside. Cuisine in Old Town is a delightful blend of traditional New Mexican and Southwestern flavors. I couldn't resist the temptation to savor dishes like green chile stew and enchiladas, which offered a delicious taste of the region. Perhaps what I appreciated most about Old Town was its people. The residents and shopkeepers are warm, welcoming, and proud of their heritage. They readily share stories and insights about the history of the area, adding a personal touch to the visitor experience.
