Peaceful, pleasant, lovely experience. The food was a unique take on pad Thai, and the dessert options are perfect. This restaurant is easy to miss, but don’t ignore this fantastic eatery. You won’t go hungry either, the serving sizes are more than adequate for left overs. Pleasant customer service, makes a great place for a quick bite to eat or even a date night!
Every experience I have had at Oahu has been top-notch!
The half-price menu on Mondays is my favorite special around town. There are so many good options to choose from. But, my favorite dish from here is the pineapple fried rice, best in town
It seems to be a repurposed Wendy's location. The decorations and lighting hide that fact inside, but the dining room is still constrained to the original Wendy's design. The gyoza were fresh and perfectly fried, the fried rice was mildly flavored but prepared perfectly, the Pork Katsu was almost as good as I had in Tokyo (although too much, it really only needs to be one cutlet, not two, IMHO). My wife was very happy with her salmon sashimi, and the servers were friendly and efficient. If I were from around there, this would be my standard Chinese/Japanese go-to.
Excellent food! Pad Thai - ridiculously good! Crab Rangoon - fantastic. Yellowtail Jalapeño - wow! Service was bit slow but not terribly so. Atmosphere seems cheap, dark and cramped - but maybe that's just me? Food quality easily outweighs all negatives.
Always like trying pad thai first. They use a red tamarind sauce. I ordered mild. It was good but sauce was smothering noodles.
I was surprised that tofu was not a choice.
Thai tea was very good. They do not offer Thai coffee.
