I worked here for quite some time before I had my son start to attend, while I worked. I was not only happy as an employee, but also as a mother. They took wonderful care of him, and he was always happy to see his teachers! I enjoyed working there: friendly coworkers, amazing bosses, and I loved the education that we received. I learned so much in the classes we had to take; things I could take home and utilize for my son too. I loved that it was really involved, hands-on learning! Sensory play was my favorite! Messes can be so much fun! ;) Another thing that has stuck with me since working there, and having my son attend, is positive discipline! All the education we received helped me be a better teacher for my two- year old classroom, and a better mother for my son. I haven't worked there in quite a few years, but still have great memories, and relationships from my time there. I always recommend LWICD and always will!
My experience with LWICD was excellent. I dropped off my baby around 7:00 and she stayed until 5:00 each day. She was always playing so hard when I picked her up, and was always happy! Everyday, I received a paper on her day, including things she ate, how much she ate, her attitude, her diaper changes, the activities she did, and if there was anything that I needed to know specific on her day. My child grew SO much in her 3 years at LWICD. She knew sign language at 16 months, she was walking at 13 months, and already knew colors, shapes, alphabet, and numbers before I even realized. Not only was I happy with my kid meeting milestones, she was happy, loved, and taken care of. I specifically enjoyed all of the holiday parties and receiving pictures of my kid enjoying their day! I had an amazing experience with LWICD and highly recommend this childcare facility to other mothers!
I started my daughter at LWICD when she was 15 months old. Though it took a few weeks of adjustment, she quickly grew to love her teachers and all of the activities she did each day. I was extremely pleased with all her new found abilities to listen and follow directions, talk a mile a minute, and try new things. She became very outgoing and social, and really enjoyed the friends she made. I always knew that she was being well taken care of each day while still learning new skills that more than prepared her for pre-k and kindergarten. The director and teachers were very responsive when I had questions or wanted to try something new (like potty training!). LWICD was a wonderful experience for my child and I would recommend them to anyone.
We have two children who both attended LWICD up until they started pre school at their school district. We have a total of 8 years between the two kids and had a wonderful experience. There are many of the staff who are still there that have been there since we started in 2013. We’ve been able to watch the facility grow and expand to what it is now and if any issues or concerns were to arise it was quickly looked into or taken care of. We love LWICD as well as the staff and the owners!
My son Hendrix was with LWICD from 7 weeks old to 8 years old. During our time at look what I can do he made friends that he is still friends with today. We have met family’s I consider family friends and our overall experience was amazing at every stage! I personally became an employee within his first year enrolled. Although my son doesn’t regularly attend as he used to due to aging out, we have such a strong bond with management, and staff members that you don’t get the opportunity to build every day. He loves being able to visit and see some people that have left a mark on his life forever and he loves seeing the facility pets. As an employee, I got to see more of what was going on in his rooms more than parents who work at different locations and I always got a great representation of who LWICD is as a company! LWICD now has bright wheel and I only wish platforms like this had come around sooner! I would have LOVED seeing pictures and updates throughout the day, but even before brightwheel I had excellent communication at the end of the day and could tell my son had been taught, not only kindergarten readiness skills, but social and emotionally taught how to solve problems, and express emotions. At the end of the day I would recommend LWICD over and over, not just because I am an employee, but because I had a wonderful experience as a parent!
