Krul Lake

Very nice place fun safe clean swimming hiking camping our just take the family are yourself and have lunch and be at real peace

Nice place to camp. No Verizon phone service, not even with a WeBoost 65. (We did get just enough signal to send emails and text, just no internet or phone service) Lake was drained when we visited in Jan. No dogs, which was nice. You can hike to the other campground where dogs are allowed. Clean bathhouse with a good shower. Sites were a little unlevel, but not too anything like WV or other mountainous states. Phone service was 15 minutes away either south or east. Interesting that you have to call or reserve online, yet there is no phone service🤔. We would stay here again, just cause it was dark and quiet at night.

Found this place driving on the way back home from Orlando, FL. It is beautiful! The water is clear in the shallow ends and then gets darker the deeper you go into the water. You can see minnows swimming around in the clear end, though. There are picnic tables and bathrooms. We stayed at the front end of the park, but it did look like there was more to it the further you went down. There is also a hiking trail from Krul Lake to Bear Lake. It is located in the Blackwater River State Forest. There are some other lakes located in this forest that we did not go to. You do have to pay a small fee to help the park. There are directions at the entrance, but it would help if you don't have signal, that there be another way to pay the fees.

Great place to take the kids. Lake to swim, picnic tables, campground. Bathroom facilities on site
