Fun shops, and nice clean bathrooms. We had lunch at one of the restaurants and a Dole whip soft serve at a little place, very good 😊 We walked down to the beach which was beautiful. Parking lot is expensive though.
Located along the picturesque waterfront along Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona, the Kona Inn Shopping Village provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a leisurely walk amid shops, galleries, and boutiques for Hawaiian gifts and souvenirs.
There are some shops open. We went to the Kona Inn Restaurant and bar. We go there for the mud pie and that's what we did. It's always touches our sweet tooth. A nice large slice at just under $15. The bar and restaurant is beautiful with their wonderful wood floors and bar. Try them. The food prices are too much for us. Same with the drinks, but the views of the ocean and atmosphere are great!
This also had a lot of shops. There is a coffee shop that is amazing. I forgot the name, but it also makes smoothies and shakes. I had a mango tango, which was amazing. My sister had the dark peaberry coffee, and she said it was the best on the island. It was the only coffee shop in this shopping strip. Also, there is a tour guide booth run by a man from Jersey. He has been on the island for over 30 years and knows a lot about what to do. He recommended a manta snorkeling expedition. My sister and I signed up for it. She loved it! I was a little nervous about doing it but it was quite an experience I won't forget. If you want to book any kind of guided tour from manta rays to hiking to ghost tours, stop by his booth in this shopping center. He will give you great advice.
Very cute little shopping village. Friendly people at the shops, good food and drinks at basically anywhere you stop. Kona inn is one of my favorites to go to! Or Aloha vibes
