My younger kid stayed here for almost one year. There are kind teachers if you have good luck, but not all of them: I saw one teacher pushed him rudely. The management was poor: my kid got moved to another room without any notification and the director handled the communication with parents badly. I will not recommend this place to any families, even though the location is convenient and tuition is reasonable. There is a reason why it's cheaper and there's no waiting list.
As a FORMER LONGTIME EMPLOYEE OF KIDDIE ACADEMY 8 years. ...... the center itself is wonderful as well as the owners but management Brittney Nicolson & Heather Da Silva are rude , unprofessional, and lie to parents, employees & owners about many things. They speak to you in a manner that makes you not want to be there as well as treat
certain children better than others. It was their actions and words as to why I left the company after 8 years overnight. Do not send your child to be in their care as they are NOT getting what they deserve. Thank you.
Had a terrible experience at this day care. My son started daycare here when he was 3 months old and was here for a month before we decided to take him out and enroll in another daycare. Was told it could take up to 5 weeks before he would adjust but couldn’t stand it any more. Often times after picking him up his voice was hoarse as if he cried all day. The teachers don’t seem experienced with young infants and weren’t able to help him fall asleep. At home he fell asleep quite easily for naps but once he started here, some days he would only sleep 30 mins for the whole day even by the end of the month. As soon as we switched day cares it was night and day. He was able to nap fine at the new day care even on the first day. These teachers couldn’t judge his sleep cues to put him to bed at the right time. Sometimes I looked at the camera and could see him falling asleep on the floor and nobody paying attention to him. Also a few times I see him clearly crying on a boppy but the teacher spent time cleaning up the toys even when he was the last infant in the classroom. I asked the director if they could comfort him instead of picking up the toys and she blamed him, saying he cries too much. I told her it’s because he’s not napping and she just responds defensively saying we can’t make him nap.
Overall I would not recommend and suggest to find a more caring daycare even if it may be a little farther. This was the only daycare I found relatively close without a wait list. I now understand why other daycares have 1 year long waitlists while this one I could join immediately.
I was a parent of kiddie academy pupils for five years. I am so grateful for everything they offered to my two kids – especially during incredibly difficult situations with COVID.
My son went through Kiddie Academy Burlington from three months until Preschool Graduation (age 5). In that time, KA’s attention to my son’s needs was evident – his ability to work 48-72 piece puzzles (age 1-2), name and describe the planets (age 2-3), do multiplication and division (age 4 – yes, really), and learn all the continents and countries (age 5) was directly tied to KA’s lesson plans, songs, activities, and teacher notes. My son left Burlington KA surpassing any kindergarten standard. Likewise for my daughter, KA connected us with helpful resources for physical therapy, including some state resources that came to the daycare to work with my daughter directly.
I have tons of respect for Tina and crew. My only regret is that my daughter will not be able to finish there – we had to move cross country. Selecting Burlington KA was the best decision my family made while in the greater Boston area. Thank you!
Both of my kids go here, with the oldest about to graduate. My husband and I both love Kiddie Academy! All of the teachers and office staff are very professional and have always treated both of our kids like they are their own. They are always super flexible with our needs and always very responsive (both through phone and email). They are always thinking of fun activities for the kids and always finding new ways to keep them engaged, and I love that they provide all the meals and snacks. With Covid, they were always very professional with coming up with protocols and procedures and sticking to them! Tina and Steph who work in the office are basically super heroes, they do an excellent job of running the daycare, and making everything seem seamless, and also do an amazing job of keeping parents updated on any relevant information. The facilities themselves are also very modern, clean and welcoming - there is also a very nice outdoor play area (one for bigger kids and one for the smaller kids). Definitely worth checking out! I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my kids :)
