J.B. Alberto's Pizza

I have been a loyal customer for over 12 years. Never had a bad dinner experience from JB Alberto’s until today. I purchased an Italian beet and fries. Got the sandwich and fries home. The meat was extremely tough. The fries were extremely greasy. I didn’t finish either- then around one in the morning I’m awakened because I had to puke up the grease. I went to the restaurant calmly and kindly to report this to Pascale the manager. He came came to me and had me go to his office which was right off the kitchen. Very strange thing to do around food. Exposed food everywhere. I even asked him if it was a good idea to have me back there without a mask or anything to protect their food. He said no. I think he brought me to his office because he knew he-was going to treat me like I was a liar- because he did. He instantly became accusatory and he took it down a road where it should not have gone.I tried telling him what happened and already he’s cutting me off like wow. I told him I wasn’t seeking a refund I told him he should know I got sick. He told me next time go to the doctor so I told him I didn’t come for my money back - foolish of me. He then went on to tell me none of his customers ever got sick from their food. I told him there’s a first time for everything. Mind you I’ve been a loyal customer for years. So I told him I see where you’re taking this and I walked through their kitchen past exposed food on out the door.

The service here is always pleasant and polite. It makes everything taste so good. The thin crust pizza slices are always delicious and a great snack with a good price, I just wish they had vegetables on one of them. The salads are delicious. I've gotten the garden salad but always has a piece of salami on it making it non-vegetarian. The onion rings are outstandingly good, really a meal more than a side. A great place to carryout. There is no place to dine.

This is the best pizza that I’ve had in years. I tried it for the first time about 5 hours ago and I still can’t think of a better Chicago style thin crust in the city or the burbs. I cannot understate how good this pizza is, all the ingredients are perfection.

Always consistent good food. New mesh under pizza keeps crust from getting soggy or sticking to box. Great sandwiches.

Best Pizza on the North Side! I grew up in Rogers park and JBs has been there for every important moment of my life! Drove there today after leaving Milwaukee to get my dad to his kidney transplant surgery and I had to stop by on my way home to celebrate this blessing with a couple of JB slices !! I love JBs they are the best I wish there was a way for them to cater my wedding !!
