Independent Door & Gate

Will George worked on our gate. Will was proffesional and efficiant Our gate was almost not usable. I thought the gate was going to need major repairs. Will adjusted the roller and aligned the gate. This is the best the gate has ever worked.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this company. The guy driving the little Ford fusion. Gray drives like an absolute Butthead and is very disrespectful at all. Cost stay away from this company has he likes to shine green laser pointers in guns in peoples faces while driving

Very disappointed in this company. Sad to say but I have used them in the past and it was reasonable. I had a Garage door spring break. I contacted them and a temporary fix was made on the door. He clamped the door with a spring clamp and was going to come back out to replace springs. I received a bill for over $300 for a clamp and a half hour of time. I called and was told this is the charge for temporary fix of the spring not replacement. I thought this bill was to replace the spring. I told them not to come out and replace the spring cause if the charge was $300 for a temporary fix I didn't want to see the bill for replacement. I had the spring replaced by another well known company in the Northland and the charge for the replacement spring was $206. I was also told by this company that the other spring was fairly new. I thought it was but was not told this by Independent Door & Lock. They just were going to replace it. Not very honest in my eyes. I reached out to them and they basically told me that was the charge for the temp fix. I feel very taken advantage of sense I paid $206 to fix not temporary fix.

Do not use this for residential garage door repair. The tech came out, told me it was “shot”, couldn’t tell me how much to fix or what parts we needed or when, and advised me that typically it costs the same to replace it. So I trusted his opinion. He called the shop and quoted me $500. My grandfather asked a friend for a second opinion. He fixed it with parts from Amazon for $20!!! I’m a single school teacher. Very disappointing to be taken like that when I rely on the expert to help me in areas I’m not familiar. I feel bad for other people who have been scammed and didn’t know before they paid the bill! These techs are nice enough but not knowledgeable. I about got robbed. Look elsewhere!!

I happened to be the customer who received that one in a million gate operator with a defective control board. Ken was very helpful and also their tech guy who got me straight to the manufacturer, who shipped a new board directly to me. Thanks guys. Lehi/Far West Fence Co
