Hotel Casa Tota

We had a great stay at Hotel Casa Toto. It was easy to walk to the shops and restaurants of Todos Santos. The pool is great, the restaurant does a good breakfast and cocktails, and staff were helpful. Street noise (vehicles + music) late into the night made the rooms facing the street a bit loud (nothing the hotel can do), but any room not facing the street would not have this issue and I'd recommend booking the side/rear-facing rooms, although the balcony view was really nice. The hotel is easy to get to from the south and easy to exit town to the north of you're heading on to La Paz.

Good: nice room, comfortable bed, good shower, good number of outlets, nice small pool (not heated). Fair location. Not so good; expensive, very slow internet, no dressers nor closets, no safe, breakfast not included and it is expensive in the attached restaurant, toilet paper cannot be flushed, noisy street and noisy bar next to the hotel blasting music, location very far from the beach and even if you make it there the ocean is very rough- did not see even one swimmer there. No TV - some guests would miss it, we did not. If you like Mexican art galleries and Gringo bars this town is for you. Not much else to do.

Rustic, simple, traditional small town Mexico hotel with noisy nightclub a few doors away. Rooms are bright and spartan with few amenities, but the windows let in the sound... Staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Place is spotless, convenient and has a good breakfast cafe outside. The small swimming pool and roof deck are nice touches on hot days.

Staff was excellent, hotel was overall nice so it’s hard to say this…but we had some issues with our room. The bathroom was covered in mold and it smelled terrible at times, like raw sewage. You could tell the plumbing was weird. They had a stopper for the sink drain to block the smell from there but I think it was coming out of our shower drain. The mold has clearly been tried to be painted over, but that’s not how you get rid of mold. Location is excellent and restaurant was nice.

The Hotel room absolutely stinks. It smells like feces and there was a lizard in our room. We found lizard poop on the floor as well. There were flies in the bathroom and they only gave us two towels. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.
