Home Instead

Home Instead cared for friends years ago who now are deceased. When I need to have some help, I wrote to their niece who lives in Florida to see if she could remember who the very smart, kind, thoughtful, caring people were who too such good care of her old Aunt and Uncle. She not only remembered all these many years later, but she knew their names and had addresses and still kept in contact with some of the caregivers! I think that says a lot for these still very kind and thoughtful people and well-run business.

We were very happy with the service and care that the young lady gave my father. He was a handfull at times and she never lost her sunny and professional demeanor. I would highly recommend the services of Home Instead to anyone that needs care for their loved ones.

Posting on behalf of my mom, Nancy, and me. We had a very good experience with Home Instead during my husband's/dad's illness. The aides were so good to him, and he looked forward to them coming each day. Thank you to Elaine, Shanda, Vicki, and Miriam. The office staff was helpful whenever I called in and was able to talk to a real person - never to an answering machine!

My wonderful wife Gail suffered from dementia. I cared for her at home until she had a fall and went into the hospital and then rehab. Her first night at rehab she fell and broke her hip. After several months there she was still unable to walk and I decided to bring her back home. I called Home Instead on the Friday Gail was being discharged and spoke with Bobbi. Bobbi and Nicole came out to our home right away to meet with us. I had never gone through this process before but they made it easy and actually came back over the weekend to care for Gail themselves. On Monday we met caregiver Tiffanie G. who took care of Gail during the week. Tiffanie was our Rock. She never complained and worked right up until she gave birth. It was with her help that we were able to get Gail walking again. On Saturdays we had Amy B. Amy was the one to finally get Gail into the shower. Amy always helped Gail to look her best by putting on make up, doing her hair and picking out some jewelry to match her outfit for the day. Cora M. came on Sundays and was a wonderful addition to the team. Leslie A. Would would fill in when one of the regular ladies was out. Leslie was wonderful. Finally, there was Cheryl R. who worked with Gail for a while. She was very good with her and always went the extra mile. Gail eventually declined and required medical treatment in a facility where she lived out the remainder of her days until her passing. If anyone is looking to have care for a loved one at home you should start by calling Home Instead!

Home Instead was a huge help when I needed assistance with my loved one. The office staff was great with keeping me updated and they all knew the details of our situation--even as it changed with time. I felt like they really cared about my family and were working hard to create a safe and fun experience for my Mom. The caretakers we worked with were wonderful. Each had different talents and strengths, but they all brought good things to their visits with my Mom. They knew what was needed, and went out of their way to help Mom stay in her home as long as possible. Working with Home Instead was a really good experience.
