Home Instead

We have used Home Instead for my parents for over three years and are very happy with them. The office staff have worked hard filling open positions when a caregiver is sick or changes jobs. And they are helpful keeping us informed about any issues that my parents have. I love that HomeInstead works hard at providing consistent caregivers. My parents are much more relaxed with caregivers that they have developed a relationship with. Their current caregivers Liz, Imani and Maria are outstanding! They are all so caring and are so good at anticipating my parents needs. They are experienced and have grown very attached to my parents. We really appreciate everything they do.

We’ve been so impressed with our parents’ Home Instead caregiver Maria. She is so kind & gracious and thoughtful. She quickly learned my parents’ routines & quirks and now anticipates their needs. Her communication skills & personal charms are exceptional. She even manages to talk them into doing their PT exercises & drinking more water, and all those little details that are so important in keeping them “independent” in their own home in their 90’s.

From the first meeting to establishing care from a caring professional, working with Home Instead has continually exceeded expectations. I was concerned about how well my elderly mother would adjust to having someone helping her with some of her most personal activities. Over the past 3 months, I've found out how unfounded my concerns were. From the moment my mother and I sat down with Lori, it was very clear that she was interested in determining my mother's needs, and then determine the care services she needs. Prices were clear, there was no hard sell, no pressure. When we decided to move forward, Lori and the rest of the office staff made it easy. With how busy we all are these days, having clear and easy steps to follow, along with answers to questions provided promptly, it saved hours. They made it clear that finding the right person for my mother was important, and that if for any reason they didn't, they wanted to know and would provide other options. That said, I never had to test this because Lourdes is just fantastic. She's become a trusted caregiver, companion, and confidant in just 3 months. Overall, when it comes to providing care for my mother on some of the most personal areas of her life, when she's most vulnerable, I've come to trust Home Instead. Trust is earned, and they've earned ours.

Our caregiver Kevin was a natural. Whether it was rides to a doctor's appointment or mastering a puzzle, he was right there, with kindness and fun, for my parents.

I have been employed by Home Instead Senior Care for three years. Beginning with my first interview, the office staff has been stellar. I was welcomed with warmth by owners John and Kathleen Stuck, as well as the entire administrative and training staff. My initial training was comprehensive, and the ongoing training I receive is pertinent to the care I provide clients. The clients for whom I provide care have different needs and circumstances. For some I provide companionship, for others I assist in day to day activities from bathing, meal planning, and light housekeeping. I often drive clients to medical or other appointments. As varied the needs of Home Instead clients are, there are Caregivers with just as varied skills. Although each Home Instead employee differs in personality and gifts, we all share a love for helping those in need.
