Very nice little place The customer service was excellent. Had the Prime Rib special and fried mushrooms.

Seriously the BEST PLACE IN TOWN FOR STEAK! Love this place for the past 14 years that we've lived here. Never let us down.

We had eaten here many times in the past and were very satisfied. However, last night was a disaster! I ordered a steak sandwich and baked potato. The potato was hard and not cooked through. The steak which was about 4 oz only was med rare instead of med which I ordered.. I sent it back, however the worst was that the meat for the steak was spoiled …rotten! I ate 2 bites and quit because I knew I Would be sick all night with food poisoning! I didn’t even take it home for my dog! I don’t know if tbey left it out too long, or not kept refrigerated or if it was old or what but it would have been dangerous to eat. Service was slow and the space is dark and dingy. Will Never go back! When we complained about something being wrong with the steak, he did not seem to care and just said “I’ll let someone know” . My husband had French fries and they were greasy and I think the oil they used was old. French fries r a pretty basic thing to cook, so for me this is a statement about the restaurant and food would never recommend! Lyn Wilson

Went there for a steak on our anniversary. The wait staff was exceptional, had a nice chat with the waitress after the meal about misc topics. For the food, sent first steak back as it was over cooked, and second had very little flavor. I ended up taking most of it home and searing it with salt and pepper the next day and it was then perfect. If I liked dousing it in A1, it would have been ok.

Always tasty and friendly service. Wanted to take a moment to show support for this great restaurant in Ames. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to the next visit! The Reuben was fantastic.
