Drybar - Newport Beach in Balboa Bay Resort

I came to this location on a work trip. I'm a Drybar regular in New York. My stylist, Charlotte, was absolutely lovely! I would give her 5 stars. I took off two stars for the woman at the desk. When I went to pay, I asked to use the card I had on file, and she said, “I need you to use your physical card for security measures.” I have never been asked to present a card at any other location, and I've been to many. Not a great way to end an otherwise lovely experience.

I had a great experience at this location. My stylist was Regan B. She was very attentive and made great suggestions on how which styles and add ons I should get for my hair which happens to be very thin but very curly. She did an amazing job and made me feel super comfortable the entire time. I’d definitely come back here again. Regan was super sweet!!!

I have been searching for a great spot for a wash & blow out. My experience at the Balboa Drybar was phenomenal! Amber was my stylist and she made my dreams come alive for my upcoming dinner date scheduled the same night. She genuinely cares about the comfort of her clients. She is easy to talk to and very sweet. Most importantly she is truly gifted at blowouts! My hair is long and thick that has a history of not holding for long. I swear Amber has a magic touch. My curls and volume lasted throughout the night, and I woke up like I just walked out of the salon! I am in awe. When you visit ask for Amber! 10/10

Charlotte did a great job with my blowout. She asked me a lot of pointed questions to understand how I wanted my hair, described the products and the process carefully and was pleasant to be around. I would definitely come back 😊

The dry bar at balboa beach yacht club is a 10/10. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I had a wedding out here and they were able to get me for a dry bar for a blow out and curls. Ash for Raquel, she was awesome. I can't say enough good things!
