Drybar - Louisville

The girl running the front desk was not outright rude but needs to work on her fake smile. She gave off mean girl vibes and would whisper things to the stylist while they were working on your hair. Made me feel uncomfortable. There were four of us and we all got curls and braids and three of us had wash and blow out as well. The braid my friend got was a sad basic braid that was not worth the extra money at all and her stylist was not very friendly. My stylist was super sweet, I loved her, but my curls did not last very long at all. My other friend had a friendly stylist but specifically told the stylist that while she has natural curls, she wanted more added to it and that she knows her hair will not hold curl if straightened and then re-curled. The stylist said she understood and then proceeded to straighten then re-curl her hair, ignoring everything my friend had told her. It all fell out almost immediately. We all had to redo our hair ourselves not even an hour later. My recommendation, don’t come here if you’re feel uncertain at all, the receptionist will only add to your uneasy feeling. If you do come here, just get a wash and basic blow out, they seemed to do great with adding volume but all other styling was very much not worth it. We all could have done it ourselves at home better and cheaper. Also, the place could use a good dusting and there seems to be no protocol for cleaning tools between clients.

Today was my first day at drybar and i was very nervous after reading some of the previous reviews but my anxieties were all for nothing when I came out with hair better than I ever expected. Kimi was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She was sweet to talk to & obviously knew what she was doing! Front desk staff was kind and welcoming as well. I will definitely be back :)

The staff is okay. My stylists are always very nice. But I've only had maybe two that have done a nice job on my loose natural curls.

This was my first experience at Louisville Drybar. I expected to be there no longer than an hour. (Says these appts are 45min). My stylist was still blow drying my hair an hour into my appointment. At an hour in I asked if we'd be done in another 30mins because I had to be somewhere. At that point the stylist was rushing to get my hair done and I feel like the final product could've been much better. My hair holds curl fine and she couldn’t get it to hold. I literally could’ve done this at home especially for this price. There was hair everywhere and I watched the girl next to me not clean her tools after just finishing a ladies hair, just put them back in the box ready to use again. I watched 3 people who came in 30 mins after me leave before me. Overall do not recommend.

I love drybar! The owner is the best, and the staff is very talented. The experience you get from the moment you walk into the door is top-notch!
