Contemplación Hotel Boutique

Literally booked this hotel 30 minutes before I checked in at around 6PM. This hotel felt like it was meant to happen. Pedro and Jaime were gracious enough to upgrade my room. I had 180 degree views with amazing floor to ceiling windows. The property is so serene with all the greenery, walkways and being perched on a hill. The jacuzzi and pool were impressive. And the restaurant is not your typical hotel spot. It’s better. Can’t say enough about this place, perfect for contemplation and best to disconnect and unwind.

We rolled into town on a weekday and decided to check out a few places before booking. The other places were decent but when we got to Contemplacion we knew right away that we wanted to stay. First impressions were the layout of the resort, the views, the design of the interior, and the overall vibe of the place. It feels well thought out and safe. The location is good, just a short 10 minute ride off the hwy, down a dirt road. The restaurant is excellent. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and more than adequate. The staff was great and made us feel comfortable. It will be hard staying anywhere else in the Valle. Highly recommended! Tip: If you've never been to the Valle, be prepared for some dirt roads

Had a great stay. Beautiful views from room and breakfast was amazing. I would not recommend the spa, extremely over priced. They overcharged us from what the front desk said it would be. They are charging prices that are inline with a 5 star American hotel & spa. You can get a masseuse come to your room for half the price they charge. Other than that would recomend.

Floor to ceiling window at the foot of your bed. View is onto the hotel property which is excellent landscaping with flora and fauna massive to the area. Loads of white sage, which is also the name of the on-site restaurant where breakfast is included: Salvia Blanca. Have the sage tea at breakfast, it's really tasty. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion all included. No washcloth, so bring your own loofah. Showerhead very high, couldn't adjust it. Very spacious shower, temperamental temperature. We visited the first weekend in January and the room was very cold. The heater works, but we had to call the front desk to get it to work. They very graciously explained it over the phone and it did start working. The bathroom doesn't have a heater, but there was a portable one in the room that I used in the morning. Coffee maker with the ability to grind whole beans to make your pot, which tastes great. Extra beans available plus cream and sugar. No water kettle nor tea in the room. Mini fridge fully stocked with for purchase alcohol and non-alcohol. Snacks available for purchase too. Comfortable queen, dog friendly room. Music is played until 9pm down at the restaurant. Onsite parking available. The pool looked great, too cold to try. Gym ok. Great for a night or two. Walking the dogs around the property was easy, but loads of stairs. Poop bags available. I'll likely try any number of other spots before staying the night again here - because I love to see new hotels. I'm still dreaming of the sage tea at the wonderful breakfast. Dirt roads to get here.

This place is a gem. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The pool view is spectacular. Make sure to catch a sunset there. Our villa was gorgeous inside. The restaurant - Saliva Blanca was incredibly delicious. Definitely eat there. All the staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. Bonus there is a canine rescue at the back of the property that let us go play with the dogs.
