Club Pilates

I love the representation and welcoming environment at this location! I did previously have waitlist issues but was able to book a class about a week and a half in advance with no problem. Unfortunately this was the worst class I have ever attended. To start, the instructor arrived several minutes late. It was raining very hard that evening so it’s understandable that she would prioritize her safety while traveling, causing her to be late. My issue is her never acknowledging or apologizing for her tardiness. In fact, her nonchalant demeanor and unapologetic lack of urgency upon arrival was so disrespectful, I considered leaving before class even started. In addition to there being a lack of clear direction throughout the class, I was very concerned with the instructions to perform some movements at a fast pace. While I am not an instructor, I have attended over 70 pilates classes in the last few months, so I know Pilates should be executed at a slow and controlled pace to ensure correct form. It was clear that form was a reoccurring issue throughout class as the instructor verbally corrected us several times. In addition to pace, I believe incorrect spring load may have lead to incorrect form. I appreciate the hands-on corrections and demonstrations that happened towards the end of class, but the instructor really should have been way more attentive throughout the entirety of the class, especially given it was a Flow 1 class. Again, the environment was friendly and welcoming; I would consider attending another class at this location. I just would not recommend this specific instructor

I love this gym! It's accepting to all shapes, sizes, and colors! Beginner friendly, warm, and welcoming! Additionally, it's like a family when you start getting to know the individuals in class and look forward to starting your mornings with them and your fav trainers(they're all super amazing, so you can't go wrong!!).

There is always a wait list for classes, Even weeks out. I let several monthly memberships go unused because it was challenging to get into a class. I tried to cancel because of my unsatisfaction and they stated I had to give them a 30-Day written notice. So this will be my 3rd month with money being taken out of my account and not being able to get into classes. If you are ever able to get into classes they are enjoyable.

I’ve signed up several times with no response to an intro class, called, emailed and even went in person was greeted with “we’re closed” (no signage and door was open). At one point I was called all the time to sign up, now I can’t even get a response for an intro class? I don’t like that kind of business. Call you when they are looking for customers but when the customer calls, emails, shows up! The response is lackluster. Business must be good since no one is reaching back to interested parties. Even if that is the case, this is no way to treat people interested in their services. I was rooting for this location, especially because its supposed to be black owned.

I’m a New member of the family and I absolutely love it! Best decision I’ve made to improve my mental and physical health. I’ve only been to four classes and I can feel a difference in my posture and my flexibility. Back pains are gone. I feel like a new woman! Thank you to all instructors and fellow member for helping me along the way! Let’s go ladies and gentlemen!!
