My mother had surgery there this week, we had to be there at 7:00am and we arrived about 15 minutes early and found the door closed, we rang the emergency bell and no one opened it. How can it be that you go for an admission and have to wait on the street at night because it is closed? . Since my mother was under observation for 24 hours and I spoke with the doctor with no information, we did not know how my mother was progressing or how she was at any time for more than 24 hours, a total lack of information to the family, which was what I liked least about the whole process. The next day I went to the clinic at 09:00 to ask if I could see my mother and she was already on the ward, no one called me either to let me know that they were transferring her to the ward.
Positive: very happy with Dr Kelvin who is an eminence as a neurosurgeon
The staff nurses are very friendly and helpful.
I went today to have an analysis done, December 7 at 8:45.
I have a phobia of needles and have lost consciousness due to repeatedly getting dizzy in hospital settings.
They had always told me to notify before any test that could happen to me, since what calms me down is being accompanied by a family member.
As they have always recommended, I asked the nurse who was going to do the test and she denied it and left my companion outside, closing the door on him.
I had never received such unempathetic treatment.
After seeing that my stress was beginning to increase and my fear (accompanied by a good cry), instead of rectifying and letting him pass, he preferred to start drawing my blood and when he saw that I was not calming down, he let him pass.
I think this situation could have been avoided since I had never been denied in any other clinic and they were always willing to have the patient in the best condition.
I hope this nurse changes her attitude since I would not recommend her to anyone.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, NOTHING RECOMMENDED due to disastrous care in a COVID case, and painful and arrogant treatment from the doctor who ended up doing the follow-up.
All the previous good review that I posted is completely buried behind needing real medical attention and with a case that could have led to something more serious, I see myself neglected, and when treated: badly, without desire and with arrogance.
On January 8, 2022 at 8:30 p.m. I made a call to 985 28 60 00 to inform that my partner and cohabitant had tested positive for COVID in a PCR carried out the day before, Friday. The telephone operator collected my data and explained the COVID protocol to me, but since we were overwhelmed with work due to the new wave, she told me that a family doctor would call me to send me a test on Tuesday or so.
I let it go until Wednesday to give me some leeway, but since no one had called me, on Thursday I started calling, and it was impossible to contact anyone due to how saturated the phone line was.
On Friday, January 14, 2022, I manage to speak to the switchboard at 5:21 p.m. and I tell them my case. The girl told me that she found the situation strange and that she was going to talk to her supervisor. It is true that I got the initial call date wrong because I told them that I had called on Sunday, so they couldn't find me on the list they gave to the doctor, but they agreed to pass the phone to someone else so they could call me.
At 8:51 p.m. on Friday, January 14, Dr. María Elena Alzuru Martínez called me, and I received the worst treatment that could be received. I explain that thanks to the Asturian Public Health tracker, I had a PCR done at the HUCA (Public Hospital of Oviedo) in which I tested positive and was followed up. In response to this explanation I only find silence from the doctor, and impertinent questions like “And what do you want?”, without asking about the symptoms I have, the days I have had symptoms or not. In response to the impertinence, I answer that what I want to know is what I should do in your professional opinion. Abruptly and rudely, with an inquisitive tone, he begins to respond with phrases such as “I've already told you”, “I'll tell you again”, “what is this or that” without giving instructions or protocols of any kind and is visibly upset when I tell him no. Maybe, it's a shame and I've been waiting for a week for them to call about this. By asking myself “what do you want?” For the second time, I have to explain to him that he has to give me leave, to tell me with what symptoms or I cannot do it, and he responds vaguely, having to get the answer out of him, and saying that "everything is changing very quickly", telling me what I needed most, and hanging up on me, almost leaving me with the word in my mouth.
Conclusion: in a situation of proven illness and after a really bad week that could have led to something worse, I find myself totally helpless by my current reference medical center, in the hands (thank God) of the Asturian Public Health Service and its trackers. The worst thing is that when the professional helps you, he does it with zero desire, without interest, and on top of that with cockiness and arrogance.
In this situation, things are really known when they are really needed, neither my family nor those around us are going to go to the Asturias Clinic ever again, there are other centers where they do their job, they care about the health of their patients. clients and treat them with the minimum education required. See you never.
I edit answer on 9/22/2023.
It catches my attention that you finally respond to a complaint from 2022.
Of course I don't appear in the database because it is a pseudonym for Google, but don't worry, I can send you an email with this thing that happened to me, although I think it is well described here, like with another incident that happened to me with a traumatologist and about which I did make a written complaint and you responded to me by written letter.
Outraged is an understatement. They always have an absurd delay in making appointments. They defend themselves by saying that the state gives you an appointment for 2 years (this is private and they charge well)... I have endometriosis problems and they don't help me. The total lack of empathy towards patients is alarming!
When I went to the doctor on duty with a breathing problem, she said it was reflux, which was very funny. But when I took a Covid test, it turned out to be Covid. I went there again, but to my general practitioner. She prescribed paracetamol. She didn't even react to my comment that I couldn't breathe normally for 10 days and refused to undergo additional tests. I do not recommend.
