I can understand why you have a 3.5 rating or the equivalent of a 70% or "C" grade. BEWARE when you give them a security deposit for a condo rental unit. They nickel ands dime you when you leave to be certain that you don't get the full amount of your security deposit returned. It's shameful really that seniors and other decent people are taken advantage of by this company.
I would not recommend using East Lake Realty for any type of property management. They were very difficult to work with and the way they send out monthly invoices and tracking of rental expenses is outdated. They charge 10% a month and don't provide very much assistance. When there is a maintenance issue, they use their own employee and charge the owner of the property way more than they should. When my tenants moved out they were required to either show a receipt of professional cleaning or be charged. My property manager didn't provide me receipts nor did they charge them. I had to pay additional money to clean my property.
We have rented a home in Palm Harbor for just under three years. We have had nothing but an extremely positive experience with Century 21 East Lake. While we have had very few maintenance issues, they have always been quick to respond to any requests. I was surprised to receive a call one day that during a property drive by they noticed the fence was in need of repair and would be sending someone to repair it. It turned out it was the neighbors portion of the fence, but I was happy to know they keep an eye out on the property. We have received excellent communication through all phases of our lease. Everyone that works at this office are professional and kind. Additionally, their office is conveniently located and they have extended hours (including weekends) that make working with them much easier. I highly recommend this agency for renting or purchasing a home.
I wrote a book once entitled, The Customer is WHY! :Six Steps to Creating Legendary Service in Your Organization. Trust me....no one in management at Century 21 East Lake Realty has ever read the book. I'm sitting in a rental condo with a broken microwave, broken air conditioner, and hot water heater that leaks water every morning. I'm sure they'll blame the owner for not being responsive....yada...yada...yada....whatever! The fact is --- I've paid my rental check every month on-time and have received the poorest communication and service from any organization I've ever engaged in a business relationship and have NEVER heard from the person in charge. DISMAL! There are plenty of other realtors....save yourself a lot of heartache and headache and don't choose this one. At this moment they have an AC company on the phone with my wife trying to tell her how fix the AC....it's so outrageous it's laughable.....but I'm not laughing.
Your reply to my review: 1) blamed me for not communicating with my wife; 2) blamed supply chain issues for a parts problem, and 3) blamed el Pasado for drainage problems…. Exactly what I expected. PLEASE read the book referenced above! It might help you!
One week later.....haven't slept for a week due to the banging in the AC at night and still no solution to the problem. Today my wife gets a text that they placed an "urgent call" to the plumber and no call from the plumber either....this is absolutely in my opinion the worst rental management company EVER....it's great to make promises....but when you can't deliver on solutions, it's nothing more than a bad joke.
We recently rented our home through Century 21 Eastlake. They have been wonderful to work with - very detailed and very responsive. This is a big step for us (we live out of state) so having someone we can trust to manage our property is very important. So far they have exceeded our expectations. They have treated the management of our property the way they would treat their own property. Thank you and keep up the good work.
